Gin and Aizen also died, two more "shinigami" captains. But of course, anyone with sense could see that they, and Tosen, probably don't count.

Nah. It counts. They were "shinigami" and were part of the captain ranks.

They dieded and were technically not really bad guys.

Gin DEFINITELY wasn't a bad guy. Notice that he never actually killed anyone good? Pwned.

Gin was a double agent. lulz All shinigami.

Also, Hyori can still die. I think she needs some Inoue action?

In no way am I "pwned". You never mentioned Gin, only Tosen. There's no reason why Tosen would be included, but not the other two. So no, you were wrong.

Nope. You're pwned.

Gin, Tousen, and Aizen all count. So does Yamamoto. They are all shinigami.

HA!

Just becuase they have shinigami powers doesn't make them shinigami. Ichigo wasn't even a shinigami until SS made him an honorary one. I'm pretty sure they were fired after betraying SS.

That's incorrect. If you have shinigami powers, you are a shinigami. A shinigami is not a title, it is a spirit with exceptional spirit power. This is Bleach 101 stuff. Edit, wait, I might be wrong. All of those spirits living in the after-life world might be shinigami, based on Rukia's definition. It is those shinigami that have exceptional spirit power that become agents of soul society.

If you are kicked out of soul society, you are still a shinigami.

Aizen was still a shinigami.

Even Vizards are shinigami...they are just shinigami with some hollow powers. 🙂

Well I'm just going to have to disagree with you there. Shinigami is a job, not a race. Kukaku and Ganju use Kido which is a shinigami power, but they aren't shinigami. Unless just having a zanpakuto makes you a shinigami? Becuase if thats so then Aizen wasn't one in the end becuase his disintegrated, and I think Tousens went bye bye too.

For that matter Ogihci uses a zanpakuto, so is he a Shini, a Visored or a Hollow?

That was just about the coolest thing Aizen has ever done, so deliciously cruel and evil.

Which is why him turning out to be a good gai would be laem.

Also, Tousen and Aizen were on the side of villains, and Gin technically was on his own side. He may not have been loyal to Aizen, but he was not loyal to the Gotei 13 either. No one on the side of the Gotei 13 (Counting Vizards) died, except maybe Hiyori, but probably not.

I mean for Christ's sake, the Cero Espada was off-paneled right after he was hyped.

I don't want him to be a good guy, but I do want the 'King' to be an evil force, and the main villain.

It's almost guaranteed IMO.

I doubt that it'll be reveal that Aizen was a 'good guy'. he still commited quite a few crimes and while what Ichigo said about him may be true, we still don't know for sure what is going through Aizen's head.

hmm, when Ichigo collapsed at the end, I had a feeling that it might involve the hogyoku. guess I'll have to wait and find out.

Come to think of it, there's no way to prove that Hinamori died either is there?

Plus, did anyone notice that Neliel was suddenly omitted from the story?

The only way Bleach can have a good ending now is if the Soul King kills everyone. And I mean everyone; even the cool characters like Isshin and Kenpachi must die now.

It does not mention Aizen or Gin; hence, my initial premise was right, that you included one out of the three with no reason to exclude the others.

You assumed I excluded them when no attempt at exclusion occurred. Therefore, you were pwned cause I had 2 back up plans ready to unleash upon the disagreer, such as yourself. Excluding implies I made an effort to not post their names and the verb was simply not had on my part. 🙂

What about Momo? Is she alive or not?

So in the whole war we have one maybe-death on the main side. Considering the power Aizen had, his tactics sure did suck.

And it's somewhat believable to have a lot of survivors... if the other side doesn't drop like flies at the same time!

So you didn't "exclude" them, you just did a horrible job at explaining the losses? That's not really better.

No, I specifically listed one person in the hopes that someone would try and say, "BUT BUT! HE WASN'T A SHINIGAMI!....TECHNICALLY!"

Then I could bust out Gin. PWNED!

Then I could bust out the definition of what a shinigami is and then have more pwn.

The other outcome would be for no one to disagree and just agree that more than just Espada died. That way is certainly an easy way and there's not discussion in that path about Bleach. Besides, with such a weak chapter and a waning story, what else are we going to talk about other than the definition of a shinigami? Either way, there were two paths from my suggestion and each path had a bit of discussion...more than the last Bleach chapter is worthy of, IMO.
