Kenpachi's sword technically is at shikai. It's just like Ichigo's in that it's always that way, and it got that way due to basically his raw amount of spiritual pressure forcing it into release state.

I think Kenpachi's sword is only in a semi-shikai state, kinda like Yumichika's when he purposely calls his sword the wrong name to conceal it's power...

Ichigo had to learn Zangetsu's name first, and as you said, his sword remains at that state due to the amount of spirit pressure he has...

I guess my last hope that the bulk of the entire "decide" storyline would end up being an Aizen induced illusion while he was out going after the Soul King is thrashed once and for all.... SUCK IT KUBO! 😠

400 some odd chapters and where did we get? Right back to where the whole series started!

Even Kenpachi and Byakuya's epicness is no match for the "on the fly" stupidity Kubo's been throwing at us for months on end... I really just want this series over already... I'm over it.

I think he should be sentenced to do series no longer than 10-12 volumes. The beginnings tend to be good (see also Zombie Powder).

I think it's more than he's not good at playing big plots by ear. He can plan ahead to an extent, but the further he goes in, the less good he is at planning the overall arc.

Personally i think bleach is a pain in the ass for Kubo. It doesn't seem like he is very interested.
