well, I gotta say, it seems as though Rukia really can't do much. she can kill lower level hollows and had been able to kill Aaroneiro, but still, damn she fell for it. although her plush form is rather cute in its own. I imagine my baby cousin would just love her like that.
yeah, Tsukishima really is broken, probably on the same level as Aizen as far as brokenness goes.
To be fair, how does one predict that the enemy could turn one into a dog? Though yeah, I'd say she is the weakest of the good guys fighting. Well, maybe Ishida *might* be weaker. But that is pushing it. And I don't really agree.
I wouldn't say Aizen level. One simply needs to look at Aizen's sword and they're ****ed. Tsukishima needs to cut them.

Every other time he cut someone, they healed instantly.
Kuchiki was still damaged.
So I'm sticking with something that's not what you said.
He pulled memories and got instant knowledge. That's what his training comment was about.
Cut with no damage: putting in memories.
Cut with damage: pulling out memories.
If he was screwing with memories, he wouldn't have been able to change the past for the place they were fighting it. What he is doing is flat out changing the past period. ^^

By changing the past, he's changing memories.
If the information on neurons changes, that means memories have changed.
He's directly changing memories.
Keep in mind that he does not actually change the past, at all. If he did, then it would change for everyone, all at once. It's individual so he's changing the memories.
With non-living things, since they still have souls, he's still changing their memories, as well. Keep in mind, this is "shintoism" so everything has a soul...which means they store information. Stored information in something that has an existance is literally, a memory.
So, quite directly, he alters ONLY memories.
But even if we interpret it your way, it's still wrong.
Why? Because if he changed the past, it would change for everyone.
Even if we ignore that glaring flaw, there's still the problem of him still changing memories by altering the literal past.
If he is changing memories only, how the hell did he set up that trap? And how the hell did he learn about the NDR? He's changing the past. Or rather, the individuals past. Does it make sense? Hell no it doesn't. But that is what he is claiming. Granted, the probability of him lying is certainly not 0 but until we found out if he is or not, we assume what the manga has said.
