You do realize that this is NORMAL behavior for young adults her age, right? The problem is injecting artificial social mediums that make expressing yourself as a young, sexual, adult, much less safe.

No longer can you verify if you're flirting with a peer. It is not like sneaking out with a group of other teens to go play at the lake and flashing boobs: that's so pre-1990s. Now? It is much more digital. Humans are not natural to that so bad things can happen to people doing NORMAL human behaviors.

There is a seperation between the incidents. You can accept the reality, which is that flashing your **** to strangers on the internet is stupid and irresponsible, and still have sympathy for her suicide. If someone's driving drunk and they get into a car accident and die, you shouldn't pretend that driving drunk is not a stupid ass thing to do, just because you're sad that they're dead.

No, it's the fault of the man who harassed her and the people who drove her to suicide.

Well, there's the problem: it wasn't a "stranger". It was someone she was talking to for quite some time, actually. That's not a stranger. That's her being preyed upon by a dude that got his jollies that way.

She didn't. She did it to some creep who tricked her into it after weeks of coercion and then a year later he or some other creep mailed the photo to everyone and bullied her. She's the victim here. No, its the fault of the sick people who prey on their victims, not the victims themselves for being in the position where they could be preyed upon.

This is the internet. It's impossible to make someone do something they don't want to do on it. At 14 years old you're smart enough to know that if someone's being weird you can always go to a different chatroom or just not speak to the individual. Hell, I joined KMC and started my first foray into the internet chat community when I was 14, and I've met my share of weird internet creepers- you won't find pics of my dick on the internet, however.

The fact of the matter is that, yes, while there are shit tons o scumbags on the internet who will try to do perverted things to you, you ultimately have the responsibility to know better. Random dudes in a chat room can't put a gun to your head, can they? No, they can't. It's you taking a picture of yourself, it's you transferring it to your computer, it's you uploading it to the net. They can't do that for you.

You are incorrect both neurologically and psychologically. An adult brain does not process those types of situations the same as a child's. Nor is the child psychologically prepared enough to make those adult decisions. Additionally, teenagers are much more impulsive and more likely to make a decision that they will regret as not having been "thought-out".

This is fairly elementary stuff in the psychological community. It is not even new.

For you to pretend that her decision should be weighed like an adults (instead of a young adult, which is different) shows your opinion is not informed.

We actually agree, partially. I just can't blame the lass 100%, like you're doing. Sure, some of the blame does sit with her doing the boobs thing.

But is she to blame for getting a gang-beat down, the harassment from the gent and her classmates, and the harassment she got on facebook?
