Law casually one shotted the best villain of the arc like nothing. When there is some tension in One Piece again then maybe I'll care.

After getting the fvck beaten out of him. It wasn't like nothing, it was a legitimately badass moment. Smoker also got his ass beat by Vergo. In this case the tension in this arc came from other things, like the gas. In Laws case it was because Vergo had his heart.

Besides, this is still merely a set-up arc. A prelude, as was pointed out in the chapter.

Besides x2 combo, awesome does not require tension in order to spawn. It exists on its own merits.

He was only getting the shit beat out of him because he was stupid enough to give his heart away. And yes, it was like nothing. It means that, had Law not given his heart away and faced Vergo, he'd have done the same thing. It still means Law is vastly superior to Vergo. It's like the Zoro and Monet fight. The only reason the latter was more offensive was because there was no reason the fight should have gone on. Here there is a reason, even if it's a stupid one that Law put himself in.

You can make a good setup arc, like Sabaody. The difference between this arc and that is tension.

Good action requires tension.

So...... what? It still creates tension since until Smoker got his heart Law got swiftly beaten down. Also, wasn't Vergo kicking Law's tush even without the heart? He was physically beating him down without even using the heart in chapter 683.

Bullshit is does. There is practically no tension at all in Hellsing, yet it is still incredibly awesome to see Alucard demolish his opponents. There can also be immense satisfaction in seeing a character get his ass whooped like Ceasar is getting. There wasn't any tension in Enel vs Luffy either since Luffy is completely immune to his attacks. Still a great fight and a satisfying payoff.

Also, it was probably Brook who told Samurai-san about his son. He went astral projecting a few chapters ago.

We didn't even realize that it was Smoker's goal to get the heart. There is no wondering how he'll get it because the minute we discovered that it was his target, Law already got it. And no, Vergo didn't use Law's heart to beat him up, Law was just worried about it so didn't focus on kicking Vergo's arse. But let's assume that yeah, Vergo was around Law's level at that time. If we assume that then how did Law just casually one shot him if they were supposed to be close in power?

Never watched Hellsing because I've heard it has a Boring Invincible Hero. And no, Enel vs Luffy wasn't satisfying. It was stupid. You're using another shitty fight to try and make me like this one so that amuses me.

Then how come Brook had to ask why Kinemon was sad about killing the dragon?

But Smoker lost. Hence there was wondering how they'd manage to beat Vergo. Law clearly put everything into his best attack. Just because he can beat him with his best attack doesn't make him so far above Vergo.

Lol, you're missing out. It be amazing. 'Boring' is such an utter failure to describe Alucard that I'm just going to laugh at you now. Haha, what a noob. As for Enel vs Luffy, then I guess we just have completely different tastes. Enel was such a smug jackass that it was cathartic to see him getting beaten on by Luffy. It was also hilarious (dat Enelface) and epic at times plus there was some really cool parts of the fight.

Because Brook knows that that dragon wasn't his son?

In a fight we didn't get to see. And there really wasn't. Before the audience can take in the fact that Smoker lost, we see Law with his heart. And we know, at least I knew, that Vergo was going to casually beat him. Also, you're assuming that was his best attack.

Not my words, TvTropes has him classed as one. Not a definitive source but I've also heard it from others. And Enel is a way better villain than Caesar, so the fight between him and Luffy was better because of that at least.

Why not tell him?

We've been seeing flashes of it for some time now haven't we?

He cut a ****ing mountain in half. Thats better than anything else he's done by a nautical mile. The indiscriminate nature also suggests that he put everything into that attack.

Oh well if TVTropes said it it must be true. Plus, check again. They've changed it to just 'Invincible Hero' because obviously you can do an invincible hero and still make it interesting i.e. Alucard.

Basically, you should watch Hellsing Ultimate. Its really cool. I recommend the dub.

Caesar is a pretty good villain plus we are also talking about Vergo remember. He is also an evil douche who its good to see pwned. Individually they may not be as good as Enel but theres two of them.

Maybe he will?

Flashes=/=the actual fight. Which looks like it would have been awesome. We saw more of Yammy's fight than Vergo's lol.

And? Just because it's his best feat doesn't mean it took everything out of him. And really didn't seem all that random. Law is very calculating.

AKA Boring Invincible Hero. You're arguing semantics and you can't refute personal accounts that say he's boring. People who I share tastes with so I'll definitely go with what they consider boring.

Ze Major seemed alright. Nothing else appeals to me.

No, I like Vergo. I'd rather see more of him pwning than otherwise. And no, Caesar isn't very good as a villain.

Now would be an excellent time.

Meh.

Now who is assuming things.

At one point Alucard shoots a mans legs off and then demonic dogs emerge from his chest and eat him. At another he shoves his hand through someones arm. Lengthways. Boring is the wrongest way to describe him there is.

Yes, the Major is a very STRONG villain. His speech is amazing.

So you're just butthurt that he lost? What a fanny. Vergo needed to lose since he's the villain and he went out in an awesome way. Law cut a fricking mountain in half, how is that not epic? We've argued about Caesar before. You simply have bad taste in villains.

Well we cut away so who knows if he did?

You're the one assuming he went all out. Unless you mean about him being calculating, which isn't an opinion. It's a fact.

Sounds boring.

No more butthurt than you were about Monet losing. At least I'm consistent. And he didn't go out in an awesome way. And Law cutting the mountain in half is epic in terms of scale but scale isn't everything. And you simply like bad villains.

Assumptions~

STFU. This is the Bleach thread. Post about Bleach.

Lesse:
'Cameos' from a bunch of characters. Check.
Minimal Plot Progression: Check.
Half-assed attempts at humour: Check.

Not very different from the usual crap Kubo brings our way. Though did like the fact that 3 Full-bringers are now in SS looking like they did when they were alive, and apparently on Shiba's side. Plus, why the f*** would Kubo hide Grimmjow?

Bleach ****ing sucks. What is there to talk about. It's obvious that it's Grimmjaw and no-one cares about the Fullbringers. You want us to talk about how full and perky Chads hair is or something?

These guys are pretty cheerful considering Yamamoto just died and SS is in ruins. I really hoped it would've been someone we didn't know..gotdamnit Kubo.

It's Grimmy?

How do you know?

Ganju looked badass, and the Full-bringers are back. I really liked this chapter. Though it did start rather slow.

the sleeve was a dead giveaway... so was Ichigo's reaction to hearing his voice.

Not to mention his constant use of vulgar language.

Well it does look quite bouncy, lush and decently maintained.

Weren't those Full-bringers the bad guys a few weeks ago?
