For the last time (I'm not really mad, I'm just at work, so excuse the attitude), Scott's optic blasts are CONCUSSIVE force. They don't melt anything.

He's just slicing the web off when it is around his whole head?

It really wouldn't be as easy as you think. Imagine a SUPER STRONG, sticky casing around your head. Even cutting them won't get them off that quickly.

And something else I didn't even think of. If Spidey webs him right in the face, he cause Wolvie to suffocate. Awesome!
