Oh come on he was dead 🙁

Well not actually dead, but everybody thought he was dead for like 2 years

I could post the scans from the weapon X issue 14. Namor owning some German submarine. Unless you already have posted them.

I didn't go through this whole thread yet just the first few pages and alot of these strength feats you have to take with a grain of salt.

Like this one. He isn't lifting anything. He's just pushing the boat down with the help of gravity. Even when he's under the boat it would be alot harder doing it on land than in the water. If he let that boat go right at that moment it would say there for a few seconds than start to slowly sink.

He lifted the boat from the place it was in and carried it there...and then slammed it to Attuma...how he is not lifting anything?

If you did not notice it from the pic, it was a SUNKEN ship. 🤨

I've read it, and it was badass. I posted few pages, but go ahead. 😄

Even Mr. Sinister respects Namor. .yes:

Hell yeah, Namor finally appears in CW, thanks for the link, Black Adam.

"After all, one did not require the mind of a Charles Darwin to see...there were none fitter then the Sub-Mariner." Great quote. ✅

Cap has some badassery there too.

Whoa, totally missed this:

CIVIL WAR: FRONT LINE #9 & #10 (of 10)
Written by PAUL JENKINS
Penciled by RAMON BACHS, STEVE LIEBER & OTHERS
Cardstock Cover by JOHN WATSON
The betrayer among the Marvel heroes stands revealed, as war with Atlantis seems inevitable! And Speedball comes face-to-face with his accuser!
32 PGS. (each)/Rated T+ ...$2.99 (each)

I guess this would be a nice flight feat with all of them attacking at the same time and Namor not leaving far away from Iron Man's repulsor blast, Thor's hammer and Firelord's blasts.

Notice also that Namor was the only one with enough balls to attack Thanos with IG with nothing but his fists. 😛

And here he actually makes the omnipotent Thanos's head move with his punch, extremely nice feat:

Think about it this way. If Namor would have let that boat go while he was underneath it it would sink slowly to the ground. Meaning that he didn't even anywhere near the full weight of the ship. Why do you think he had to push the ship down? Now if he was on land dong that it would be a very impressive feat cause he would be holding the full weight of the ship and would fall to the ground instantly when he let go.

Gotta give She-Hulk some credit for the last scan too.

First of all, Namor carried the ship to the place where it was. Which means that he lifted it's full weight. Second of all, he slammed it to Attuma. He had to direct it to him, and in the picture, you can see him pushing it to him. Third, you obviously are forgetting the pressures of the sea (they are over a mile deep) AND the water he has to displace every time he moves the thing (The weight of the ship would be the weight of the water to be displaced) which makes the feat far, far more impressive then if it was done on land.

I think recent Jae Lee is the best artist for Namor. I was appalled with the artwork from his early career. I have this thing about exaggeration and a style made popular by Liefield (whom incidently is a really good guy, but the man needs an art class to learn how to refine his work). However Jae Lee's more recent work is lovely. All the characters are attractive and proportions are realistic. Jae Lee doesn't make Namor so alien looking you wonder who the heck is his real father, but alien enough to tell he's not human yet appear exotic.

And I'm sorry I babble here, a lot, this is the best respect thread and it has some intelligent posts. 😄

I've got a question, actually. What did you think of 'Sleeper Cell'?

*spoiler!*
The title slightly bothers me on the fact Sleeper Cell is a term for a terrorist group. If it is truly Atlantis calling out for it's agents to act, it should be dubbed something else. Atlantis is a sovereign country and has it's own standing army. It's called espionage if you're planning attacks within the city if you have the government's backing. I’m really hoping it’s not going to be the equivalent to Al Queda.

Personally, I would like to think that Attuma (they’re going to ignore the little incident in New Avengers because why would Attuma be captured by surface dwellers) or Llyra has a hand in this sleeper cell and hope to put the blame on Atlantis and Namor. Besides Nita’s death, Namor has no more quarrel with the humans *at this moment* than he usually does. Not enough to go to war on. As for Nita’s death, that was personal and Namor would have kept it as such. Hunt him down, kill him, and that’s it. However, that little task is in Wolverine’s hands now; I suppose. I don’t much care for him and his Civil War tie in.

As of right now, I just can’t think of a political reason why Namor or Atlantis would activate a sleeper cell.

Jae Lee, in my opinion, goes easily to Top 5 Namor artists. He penciled Namor superbly for part of Namor's own series, and most recently, in the Inhuman's limited series:

Namor's for some reason depicted to look like Japanese-American. He's looked like that since Bill Everett days. Interesting, since both of his parents have caucasian features (besides his mother's blue skin, obviously).

Indeed, Sleeper Cell is not the best use of the word...but Sleeper Agents are not necessarily terrorist agents. Countries infiltrate other countries all the time. Atlantis and Namor are no exceptions. I doubt that Namor would ever go to terrorism, he would never hurt innocent people. At least these days.

Well, Namor has been one of the most forward and modern Atlantean rulers alongside his grandfather (first Emperor who decided to have contact with surface world), and Namor knows a lot about surface world. He's seen stuff like this happen all the time. United States has been meddling with other countries forever, and he knows that they would come to his country too, sooner or later.

And because of their radical stance against superpowered beings, and the fact that humans fear and attack everything who possess greater power then they do (mutants, Inhumans, etc.) they would not most likely be able to keep their hands off Atlantis, especially when they have been ruining the kingdom for years. After all, every Atlantean is a superpowered being on human's point of view.

Attuma and Llyra are both presumed dead, with Attuma killed by Sentry and Llyra left dead by Namor. There is Krang, of course, but he usually works alone. This might be done by someone traitorous in Namor's court too. Or Fathom Five.

Wow thats some of Jae Lee's better art.

I usually HATE Jae Lee's art 😬

Black Panther is a title i really don't care for right now, but i may pick this up just for Namor.

Great cover.

Wohoo! Thanks, Lucid! 😄

I don't care much for Black Panther either, but I will pick up this. Naturally. 😉

Finally I'm atthe half of this thread...Good job Darkie.
