It is also not meant to upset anyones playing style so I made it so that it is not only guns. The key to this is that you are a "Super Soldier", not a "Magic Soldier". The ability to run a short way up walls is present but the ability to fly or run up the side of a 3 story building is an insane possibility. Weapons allow; Any sort of realistic gun (no alien weapons), Any sort of realistic melee weapon (please, no energy swords or lightsabers), Perhaps I will even include large vehicles such as tanks but be warned that I may include a character with an RPG or C4.
I was thinking of a "Survival Style RP" as a follow up to this with the winner of this being the star of that. As for this, it is too short to consider survival. A small town, perhaps 8 individual areas making encounters very simple. It will not have an immediate "jump right into combat", rather it will have the characters preparing to be scattered into the field with 2 minutes before being allowed to begin. If I can get about 5-6 people aside from myself interested in it, if we are still not being confirmed on whether we may begin or not, I will post the OOC and list the Character Sheet requirements and the other information one may need to know.
Oh, sorry, missed that we were active again here. So long as you make the effort to pitch ideas and get people interested, I reckon you can just go for it right now. If we start to crowd up again, I'll start being more particular again. If you think people are just spamming RP ideas without trying to get any approval at all, PM me. Thanks!
I'm slightly apprehensive about player vs. player stuff if only because I'm not sure how winners are determined. Nobody really wants their characters to die, and it's easy for anyone to write "X shoots Y" or "Y dodges the shot" unless we're aiming for putting each other in situations where that kind of thing is impossible. Otherwise it's going to be down to one person choosing to let the other person take the win.
I'm up for it, but I'm kinda sorta expecting a lot of throw-away characters + a favorite.
That is the expectation. I suspect that everyone will make more then one character, and all but one they will let die easily. That would put it down to a final stand off. The thing then is, I'm thinking of throwing in a twist.
Example...
"Attention on... Players... Fufufufufu.. I have set off what promises to be a most entertaining explosion that will take place in exactly five minutes. The only way to survive this explosion? Get to the bunker in the center of the battlefield. Only one will be able to get inside and the rest will be dead. So unless you want to risk death, I suggest no holding back."
At that point people might not want to die but then the trick would be, whoever manages to get inside first will be saved while the other few get to die. Of course, it won't be a matter of "Jump in and lock the door", so it will require a bit of tactic.
