Blood and Glory
A futuristic world where experimentation and contamination has caused worldwide mutations of life in general. Humans have developed strange mutations some would consider super powers. Animals have become wild and even more feral, growing in size and morphing in shape. As time has passed the mutations just continued. A project was started to try and clean the atmosphere and environment, however the damage was already done.
A war between humans and nature had already begun as plants began to overgrow and morphed animals began to invade populated areas in search of food. The humans fought back using bigger and stronger weapons in addition their new found powers.
Decades have passed and better methods of defeating monsters have been discovered. By researching the human mutations a serum has been developed, one that has allowed people to surpass natural limitations and use their powers nearly unrestricted. The name of the serum would be known as "Line", due to the glowing lines that would appear on the users skin, created by the neon glow of their arteries and veins. Slaying monsters became easier, to the point where it has now become a very popular sport.
The wide-spread over-use of "Line's" effects on the Champions has started to make itself known, as Champions have started to show signs of mental instability. Some reported hallucinations of voices or images, severe paranoia, insomnia, short term amnesia and manic episodes. Heavy users were known to develop full blown schizophrenia. The only reason it has been allowed to exist is its necessity. Without "Line "there would have been very few Champions who could have fought off the waves of monsters which threatened civilization. An alternative is in development, but progress is slow and the Champions must continue to fight.

Role
Players will create and play a Champion of any level of skill or fame. The rp will center around the champions and their struggles in dealing with fighting monsters and dealing with the effects of "Line"
There of course is more to the actual plot, but more will be revealed if this gets enough interest.

Classy! But the best way to get the better of any situation like that is simply to do the idea better in your version.
