Me: semester break. Should be working on (quite) a few things for university, but instead I'm a bit ill and listening to the LotR/Hobbit/Húrin/Silmarillion audio books (complete readings) and watching Star Wars (I must admit it's the first time I see the original trilogy bag planned for tonight: The Empire Strikes Back).
😱 How cool is that. How could you live so long without knowing the original trilogy? 😂 Probably started with Episode I?
I do watch a lot of films, too, at the moment I'm going through the Sight&Sound top of all times list. I must say, very good decision 🙂 next for me to watch is "8 1/2" from 1963.
edit: I also just woke up. 4pm. I'm awesome.

I lived quite happily without much Star Wars so far. I saw one or two movies of the new trilogy in theatres (and found they weren't too interesting); when I re-watched them in the last few days, I wasn't even able to determine which ones, so I must really have been mentally quite absent (I think ep. III was among them, but not sure). I just remember I sat in the cinema and wondered why the hero was called Anakin and not Luke 😑
Now I started from ep. I and found it quite entertaining this time; partially presented in a rather shallow way, very loud (except for the dialogues) and the dialogues are horrible, but it's rather funny, very nice to look at and adult Anakin is even a sort of interesting character. The original trilogy is more fun and much more exciting, but Luke is not nice to look at, very distracting.
That's why I said "probably started with Episode I" - I and II must be the worst pictures George Lucas has shot so far.
The old ones on the other hand are brilliant work and will always be some of the best Sci-Fi films.
Why do you think Luke is not nice to look at? I found Mark Hamill quite cute in the original first one. He gets a sort of flabby face later, though.

star wars is quite brilliant tho, Episodes II & III are not all that bad, the first one however is very very annoying, jar jar bloody binks and the whole "yeah im a slave".
lightsaber fights were immense, remember the first two? obi won vs darth and then luke vs darth, they were so amazing to begin with but now with the technology you can see they were quite... erm, "weak"
