I will try to revive the party. Did anyone know about the proposition in the 'fifties to do a really bad LOTR production? Tolkein was furious about how bad the drafts were. They suggested things like putting beaks and feathers on orcs and leaving out the quest to Mount Doom.

I heard of it, I think, yeah. We all probably discussed it once. 😄

Hey Exa, what do you think the best tourist place in Austria is? I am thinking about a short holiday there this summer.

Depends on what you want to do / why you're coming (and where you come from) 😄 so...?

I am from London, wanting to visit my penfriend for a few days, he is somewhere near Linz, but my geography is very very bad 😛

Then probably your penfriend knows best what to visit 😉
"Somewhere near Linz" is not the most touristic region, though (outside Linz at least) 🙂 but they do have the nicest German dialect in existence there (or so I think, since it's my childhood dialect).

Let us forget the bad times…..with 12 hours between posts, and the near transformation into the Fea.

I prefer various Northern and Western German dialects, which are all not my childhood dialect.

Don't know if many Germans feel that way. Bavarians certainly don't.
There's this prejudice about regions where people speak in a Bavarian accent being less urbanized, though. 😛

I'm not sure whether "prejudice" is the right term. I'd rather say it's statistics.
