KMC is like a drug. you get high off of it, but it never really lasts. it has its moments.

😆

I had too mwahaha

The more things change, the more they stay the same...

Don't you find it nostalgic?
I just went through some rate my rack thread from 2005... by shellie.

I find it nostalgic, sure!

Would rather a classic threads forum but whatever.

The real reason is 05 started with a bunch of new teenagers flooding KMC.

It all started/ended in 2005....and the 2005 guard ended in 2009.

Eh, I don't mind KMC as it is. I mostly just miss the old people from the days.

dunno.. for me the best time on here was 2004 (even though i got myself permbanned for whole 4 days 😄 )

Haha, nice. I think I either joined in 2005 or 2004. My first account on here was Goth, and I got banned for being under the age limit. Then I created my other account Tecknoyashi about a month later, but because I changed emails to the account, and need verification from an email I have no idea what the password is, I can't use it anymore. I'd love to look through old messages.

This account I think I created in 2007.
I have to say I like the old days here better, it was more active, the threads would be replied to in seconds or quick minutes, versus hours or days.

Yeah I joined in 2005 and people don't seem to come around often anymore.

^

When I joined in 05 there was full conversations between multiple people on threads.

That declined in 07, died in 09.

Around the time of the recession.

Coincidence?

I'd blame facebook, twitter etc..

Yeah that too.

Those help I would also blame the fact that the site is getting outdated. One of the big things we don't have is a way to link directly with social media. Also we are not very portable device friendly on things like phones and tablets.

So I think it is harder for us to get new blood which is vital for any site to maintain longevity.

Reasons why I rarely come on here anymore...😐

As a newbie poster, this was a fun thread to read.
I hope message boards never become outdated. This us WAY more fun to me than "social media".

This is a form of social media. Perhaps this is more fun to you than the more popular variants of social media?

I realize its social media, i have just literally never met anyone in RL that posts.
When i've explained it over the years people have seemed confused, and talked it down while lauding IMing, MySpace, facebook, Twitter...
.....
Dang i'm old! 😆

I have litereally ONE person from here IRL. Talked with some on phone.. have some on friends list on fb..

BUT I think forums lke this are easier to find answers... I mean on fb everything is happening too fast and you can't really get back to something. here, you know there was s a thread about something, which was started by this or that person in this or that year, and you can easily find it. It's fun.
