<<also about the super strength thing...again..something I've been trying to argue since I got here...glad to see someone else understands it...>>
he MUST have superstrength. hell, it was evident in his first appearance where he breaks out of all those chains. wolvie is a strange character. in their first meeting, roughhouse almost killed wolvie, wolvie couldn't hurt him with punches, but later, it was like roughhouse became a joke or something and wolvie pummeled him. you've shown scans of wolvie taking on all these dudes, and in an xmen issue he's fighting a bunch of soldiers with the other xmen present and he gets a spear driven through him from behind and he falls. you show him taking all this massive damage, but in a wolverine book and tank shell explodes near him and hurts him a lot, he takes out the tank which blows up. wolvie dives away but even still just the shockwave of the blast ko's him. then of course there's the time the old man drove his sword through a door and into wolvie's heart and he would have been dead right then and there but for jean's 'spectre's' interference. numerous times his healing factor has not been able to overcome a simple drug (wolvie mini, yet another arc where he fought roughhouse - i think that was where tigershark came in? - just to name a couple) but at the same time he can almost instantly heal from a hundred gunshots. but inconsistently again, stab wounds and sword slashes have hurt him terribly.
the biggest problem i've ALWAYS had with wolvie is that his capabilities fluctuate wildly at times, moreso than with any character i've ever read in any comic. at times, he seems more like pre-c supes than anything else with what he is shown to do and survive.
