You shouldn't be scared of Death. Everyone dies, either you go to hell or heaven you still die to get there. Death is something you are always going to be scared of becasue mixed feelings about bad things happeneing to you make you really sad or scared. I'm afraid I will die in a fire or a tornado. I don't think you can feel anyting while you die..I mean...you feel the pain but it all goes away once your sould goes up or down. Usually we don't know if the pain ever cures in hell, but in heaven it probably does. So don't be scared. Think about happy things! It helps!
Emotions are signals, not results.... fear, worry, love... just signals to your intellect to begin the flight/fight/f**k response... if fear trips in, this is a signal for you to analyse the situation... if you can do something about it, do... if you can't, ignore.... the problem is, nowadays, we feel divorced from our status as animals, and think of love, fear, hate etc as end products.... hence we hate otheers instead of checking out whether the others really mean us harm or not, we sit doe-eyed in love, wondering if the other person feels the same instead of beginning the courtship ritual, and we fear death.... there is nothing you can do about death, so there is no need to fear it... a coupler of things from religion which you may or may not find comforting... "Welcome death, but do not seek it.... then fear becomes nothing..." (Buddhism)..... "Hide in a hole... death will still find you... better to live every minute well than try to delay death and never live" (Odinism/Asatru)
Everyone has their thoughts about what happens when one dies and passes on. It is very scary to think about it. What your last thought will be..if you will pass on into the darkness and fade out like a candle into a state of being no more. If you will be born again..if you will go to heaven or hell. If you will see a light so bright it consumes you. I believe when you die someone who you loved a great deal who has passed on before you meets you the instant you die. To show you way into another state of living. I think when a person dies they feel a relief of letting go. Our spirits stay young while our bodies become old. If we all lived on earth forever we would never again see the ones we loved a who passed on before us. Think about how depressing that thought would be. ๐

I'm not afraid to die. The only thing that frightens me is the suffering. I dont want to be suffering in pain before my time comes.

If i can live to be 80, then i can say that i've lived a full life. I would definately welcome death at that time.
