Do Americans ever say 'Mate'?

Us kiwis, the brits and aussies say it, but do americans?

I was just wondering...

I'm Canadian. I don't count.

The last time I heard someone use it, it was making fun of you guys.

Yes we do

australian people in america say mate.

Im from michigan and i never hear ppl say mate

If One of my friends said mate I'd hit him

yes, its hella annoying.

So's saying hella 😛

I do, but only on here, and only to UK'er's and Aussies. It's one of those people skills kind of deals where you can relate better to whomever you're talking to.

I catch Alison saying "bloody" a lot.

Like as in "I just stepped on a Nail and my foot is all bloody?"

No, more like "Bloody hell!"

I'm one of the few New Zealanders' who don't say mate.

Mate, you dont know what your talking about mate, so lay off harrassing us ok mate?

Damn thats annoying...
