Scariest Movies You've Ever Seen?

Started by willman11 pages

films about ghosts and monsters dont scrae me because i know they are fake.the only thing i hate is when someone jumps out with a really loud noise, thats phsycological though and its scarier when you know its going to happen.

These are the only 3 that have really scared me...

The shining

Hannibal trilogy (especially on red dragon, where he has a flashback of the dolls (it makes me jump everytime)

Nightmare on elm street (when i was 9)

the very first movie that had me shook for ages was the exorcist. And since that movie my standard for fright skyrocketed. Nothing scared me since until i saw The Eye. Man that lady in the hospital gave me the same sensation as when i stared at the image of linda blair's demonic face. whooooooooooooo.

Hey there! The scariest movie that I've ever seen is about aliens: Fire In The Sky quite creepy really

There are several really scary movies I have seen but to name a few off the top of my head, "Exorcist" (I've never been able to watch it all the way through), Alien, Nightmare On Elm St., The Ring.

the exorsist is funny

how is the exorcist funny?
when i first saw it i practically crapped my pants because it's based on a true story. I was like: will that happen to me?
it's just sorta bizarre

I can't help smiling whenever Regen vomits on Karras. I love that part.

I bet you saw when you were 30. Exorcist is one of the scariest film of all time.

im only 15 it would have been very hard 4 me 2 have seen it when i was 30

Scariest movies I've seen are:

Halloween
Ringu
Ju-On
Exorcist
Salem's Lot(Original 70's version.... pretty imprssive for a TV mini-series, it was scarier than most theater movies)

well i am not easily scared by movies, but i will admit, the texas chainsaw massacre freaked me out because i thought it was true, but then i rented the story of ed gein, he only killed 2 people, and that was with rat poison, so it is no longer scary to me, but then i saw the exorcist... pretty freaky

Probably Jaws. I mean, I wasn't scared to go into the woods after watching The Evil Dead but I'm still a bit wary about going into the ocean after seeing Jaws nearly 20 years ago.

Jaws...I hate the water, even the shower!

trying to find something good to get, horror/occult movies wise.

erm liked John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness, Blair Witch Project, Ninth Gate, Rosemary's Baby, Amityville Horror, The Devil Rides Out/In (?), The Satanic Rites of Dracula, Near Dark, Ring, Ring 0 ...

don't really like gore, it gets a bit boring so... wotcha recommend peeps?

Aliens or Alien as a kid, can't remember exactly which one it was. Amityville Horror as I grew up.

I gotta agree with the guy that said that the Exorcist is funny. I don't know, maybe it's just my perverted mind, but I found some of the things that the little girl was saying to be hilarious and weirdly sexually inticing.

Since I can't edit my last post again, I'll say this: horror movies are great, but one of, if not the scariest time that I've ever had in my life is when I read the Amityville horror. That book is evil. It was so bad that I had a hard time just finishing the last few pages of it. Don't read it in your house.

Bible black is the SCARIEST ha ha ha

I saw a nightmare on elm street when I was about 10 and it scared me good for about 5 years.

The first glimpse of the alien in Signs was rather creepy, I think it was the first glimpse, the video shot of it.
