The first glimpse of the alien in Signs was rather creepy, I think it was the first glimpse, the video shot of it.

I saw it in the cinema when I was a young'un. Scared me even more than the TCM. There was something about Signs that had such a realistic feel to it.

Old lady in "The happening" was pretty scary too.

Yet to see The Happening, waiting for the rental release.

The Happening ain't that good. Marky Mark and horror are not a good mix.

Old lady was loud as hell, startled the shit out me D:

The only films to truly scare me, and I still get that eerie feeling when I watch them are -

May
Shutter
Session 9
Candyman
The Shining

You thought session 9 was scary?

I thought it was a great movie, but far from scary D:

Well I have a daughter, so it was very scary to me. Do you know what Gordon did?

Yeah, but it's not like we got to see it. I would probably think that Fracture is even more intimidating if you have a young'un at home. But I can see your concern 🙂

Cool. I also think the recordings of the sessions with Mary etc are heaps scary.

I live in the weak and wounded, doc.

You have a daughter? I thought you were like 14 or something lol.

Session 9 was truly a creepy film. I also hope you meant the original Shutter was scary and not the stupid remake.

Nah I'm almost 25! Of course the original!

Session 9 has such a dark tone to it.

i thought the setting for session 9 deserved a far better story...i thought it was reasonable...and some parts were tremendous (the tunnels..the tapes...finding the gold etc in the ovens)...but over all i was disappointed in it...especially in Peter Mullan's performance which was way below par compared with some of his other work (Boy A, My name is Joe)....although it was probably brought down by the awfulness that is Caruso

I just don't think you understand the movie if you don't like it.

It is a proper horror film. A proper scary movie. Very similar to The Shining in some aspects.

Salem's Lot
The Shining
IT - something about the clown

I don't like Stephen King's novels but these movies rock, except for the ending in IT

IT is a great movie. So nostalgic for me. I remember watching the mini series on TV.

I'm sure Jaden understood the film Deathbycorn.

Nightmare City - Those zombies were brutal intelligent and cruel

City of the Living Dead - Lovecraftian zombies who mess with your head before they either teleport behind you and crush your scalp or make your vomit up your organs. Music by Goblin WIN

Texas Chainsaw Massacre - Hooper version is a masterpiece. Grear acting atmosphere and soundtrack made by objects you'll find around a farm....this movie is a rusty nail!

I saw "Drag Me to Hell in a pre-screening with a bunch of friends. Holy shit at first I was ok but then I freaked out. Yeah there were some extremely campy parts. But for someone who actually believes in demons and the supernatural. It started to freak me out.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Why it's great: I'm constantly amazed by the number of people who haven't seen this fine film. Stuff to ignore: The title. This is NOT a particularly bloody movie. Only one person is killed with a chainsaw. The main impact of the film are other kinds of scenes, like the one in which a guy finds a human tooth on the doorstep.
