Hahaha...the bar was funny. Armando hadn't gone psycho yet, I wasn't a Mod....good times...
There was another pic too, but I never saved it or anything.
And back to the "paint" discussion...if anyone's interested, the program I use is called GIMP. A google search will turn it up, and it's a free (and legal) download. It requires quite a bit of work and tutorial reading to get good with it (just like any complex program) but is the next best thing to actually buying your own image-editing software.
Thought I'd throw that out there if anyone's interested. 🙂

just DLd it... and something called GTK+
Right, that's required too. Now just playing around with it is the best way to learn. That, and reading an occasional tutorial. DarkWizard and I were making making decent-looking (see: better than Paint) sigs in GIMP in less than a week after the download....as far as I know, there aren't too many others using it.
^^ Not at all. My first few were a step backward from my photohouse sigs (which was probably about as powerful as paint). Just experiment and remember everything doesn't have to be a sig. I learned a ton just messing around with stuff and making things that would never fit into the KMC limits.
And generally I only use tutorials if I'm having a specific problem or looking for a specific effect or something. Most will confuse unless you have a basic knowledge of the program itself.

Hehe...patience. You'll learn it in no time.
And if you ever want to test out your skills, I'd be more than happy to face you in a sig duel....a great way to improve in a hurry. The pressure of superior competition has forced me to innovate tons of stuff in my time there.

My first sig using GIMP yea it's sux but it was just a quick test.how the hell do you apply borders around it?
From now on, let's keep sig-related questions out of this thread.
But as to you question, check the "Script-Fu" drop-down. It should have an add border option. And as for you current sig, try making the background first, or moving the background layer underneath your main images. More layers are your friend.

5/10 for SnakeEyes. It's still cool as hell, but you've had it forever. 😛

And feel free to PM me with questions if you are stuck with something...though I can't stress enough that just trying random sh*t will do more than Q&A ever could. And I'd be happy to pad my record in the sig duels against you if you're ever interested. 😈
