Racist Joke that got me kicked out of class

JUST TO GET THE MESSAGE CLEAR, I'M MEXICAN AND IN NO WAY A RACIST

We did an activity today in Art History about making buildings with clay, rocks, wood etc... and we were supposed to work with people that we don't talk a lot in teams of three. So when the activity was over the teacher said: "I bet it was easy for all of you to work together because you share the same cultural background but try to imagine working with an american and an arab at the same time. And I stupidly said: I would've slept through the activity, the american would've invaded my chair and the arabian would have put a bomb inside our little model building. While that got me roaring laughs from my classmates it also got me kickedout from class. I spent the rest of the period reading The Da Vinci Code.

You were kicked out because it got a laugh from the others. Teachers hate that.

Yeah specially since the teacher is American.

one time back after the 9/11 crap when everyone was talking about the right of muslims to wear those muslim headgear things, my teacher wanted to discuss the topic. i replied: "They can't wear them if I can't wear my pointy hood." unfortunately, she was a sensitive jew... 😄 i got in trouble...BIG time

Rascit Jokes aren't always funny .You should be careful of what you say.

the only thing close to this was when i got suspended for telling my teacher i wanted to bang his wife sideways. he didn't see the sheer hilarity in it, unfortunately. i tried to stay awy from the racial stuff, no matter how funny the jokes can be. i'm white, and was a minority in my highschool. racial humor wouldn't go over well.

If said in a sarcastic manner it wouldn't be racist at all... just making fun of the stereotypes.

actually, racism is supposed to be acceptable now. believe me however, i am DEFINITELY not a racist. or sexist, in fact i fight sexual discrimination all the time. i dont mean "get my dinner *****" stuff, simply people who even state that men and women are different. its that kind of mentallity that makes sexism possible. i am also against the fact that women cannot combat in the army (but im against everything the army does, so i dont know if that counts), job discrimination, rape laws (the man-woman discrimination in them), and even things that women benefit from, like "ladies first", "never hit a woman", "woman are the child bearers and deserve the child". but im not racist, racism doesnt offend me, i even hear and tell racist jokes. but yours is tops
