To answer the threads title question.Nirvana.Everybody says there the best band ever.Mostly people who have heard zit of their songs.They are over hyped because of Kurst death (What a marketing genius 😛 )
I mean the guy has T shirts that say Kurt Cobain instead of Nirvana...And Nirvana are not even the best Grunge band ever...

I don't think Avenged is even close to overrated. I only know of myself and one other person who knows who they are (excluding KMC).

Oh yah, and i don't see how TMV are overrated. Yes, they get rave reviews by music media but it's all well deserved. Plus a BUNCH of people don't like them... a bunch. 😉
