The Saix was a good runner, and that made it fairly effective in evading Death Saurers and the larger heaver Zoids, but the Saix had no weapons that could possibly even affect it. the theory was that it made a good behind enemy lines attacker and flank assaults, but not real good in direct assault.

The Zoidians formed the basic blueprints, but never got beyond that stage before the Death Saurer began it's rampage.

Well if it's a close combat TEAM battle I'd go with a Blade Liger. It's shield protects if from most weapons, and the blades create a good combat weapon. The thrusters also make its speed comparable to most other zoids.

If its an army battle I'd go with a Storm Sworder. It's agility in the air is only matched by the Raynos, and Storch. It's weapons can also cause massive damage on most Zoids.

All in all though, I would take the Death Stinger into any combat situation. But I decided to go with just "normal" zoids for your question. Because think about it, how normal can a zoid that can fight in any situation be?

For me, well I favour Charged Particle Cannon wielding Zoids in almost any situation, and thanks to the skills I learned by playing various RPGs I know how to use them.

barring them though, For air Combat I would use a Storm Sworder F1 or a Storm Sworder Stealth Type, pretty much for the same reasons you described, the F1 posesses vastly superior Air to Air combat capability with it's more numerous weapon racks, and the Triple S has the advantage of stealth.

For Ground combat, I would probably either use a Neo Warshark or a Gojulas MK2. The Neo Warshark has vastly enhanced offencive and defencive capability, and the Gojulas MK2 is armed with massive firepower thanks to the addition of the twin Republic Supercannons.

The Gojulas' tail and claws also make it rather able in Close Combat situations also.

That's not necessarily true. Sure, it is rather slow. But its agility for it's size is amazing.

For agility though, i'd prefer the Giga Gojulas, for this one though, I'd definitely be using it more for its firepower

So you'd just use it as a Zoid to fire shells at zoids from a distance? I mean that's what it's meant for but what's the fun in that?

For the same reason I use Death Zoids, to turn my opponents into flaming junkpiles! 👿

See I'm more into using speed and creativity to win a fight, rather then pure muscle.

Oh, for battles that require flashiness, I would be piloting either a genobreaker, or Berzerk Fury, they are close combat specialits, those claws and blades can carve up even the most determined of opponents (Short of the massive and godly powerful ones)

The genobreaker in truth can't launch the cannon in midair you know that right?

Not without an organoid at any rate

In the anime, they greatly increased the power of the Breaker.

I know, but even without the Anime upgrades, it's still a few steps above the standard Genosaurer

Of course it is. But the breaker being able to fire it's charged particle gun from the air decreases the awesome power of the Deathstinger.

Nah, no matter what the GB was capable of, the Death Stingers durability feats crapped all over it, added to that, the GB even with Anime upgrades never could nuke a city or village the way the Stinger did.

Never could bathe in Lava like it was water either.

Hah! Thats true, not many things can... I did a Versus debate some time ago in the Comic Vs forum debating the durability feats of the Death Stinger and ultimate Death Saurer. I don't think Nataku ever relented his position.
