Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for the abundance and varieties of food that are before me, please bless this food to the nourishment of my health, to keep me healthy and better able to serve you. Bless the hands that have prepared these foods before they came to me, that they too will come to know you as I have come to know you. In the precious name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, Amen. 🐰

I've heard of people who got struck and fried by divine and deadly lightning at the diner table after NOT having said grace before they ate. Then God ate them...not having said grace either!
Well, god is really really big...needs fed a lot...or get angry.

I'm curious to see how many of you still do it. What do you say? On occasions when I remenber to say grace I say something like this:Thank You Lord for this meal and Bless us all with food everyday...amen
Thank You Heavenly Father for my food in Jesus Name.
1 Timothy 4:3-4
forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.
For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving;

God and I have an agreement, I don't kill all his followers (although I am recently considering to break that) and he doesn't steal me 30 seconds before my meal time.
Yeah, but Sam told me that you killed Jeremy, so the deal is off. Gotta say it now. Gotta.
I wonder if a cannibal would get away without saying "Grace" if he was about to eat a girl named Grace, and he said her name just before he ate her brain because he wasn't 100% sure she was only pretending to be dead? Makes you think, doesn't it?
Oh, the answer to that question is "No", by the way, so don't try it.
Yes, I say grace before meals. I try not to forget. And if I do forget...I have children to remind me! *smiles*
We say the old "God is great, God is good. Let us thank him for this food" prayer. Very rarely does it get switched. Which is sad cause if you become so used to something, what meaning is behind it then?
Nice thread.*smiles*
