Oh, say can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.

O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, now conceals, now discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines on the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner! O long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Ya Brits.......
Bunch of farmers beat ya....
😄 😄

You know F. Key was on a ship watching the whole thing and wrote this poem...which was published and very much later became was it is today.

I saw the the original flag 2 years ago...quite huge.....He couldn't believe his eyes....

Could you pass the pot of tea please?????????...feeling quite..victorious.
Two lumps please... 😎

we didnt lose..we chose to leave...we left our bloodlines in place, check out my thread, ''the monarch never ended'' 😄

the war of 1812-1815 ended in a "stalemate" USA was unable to htrow the Brits out of North America, and the Brits were unable to take any land from the US so..............it is what the effect this war had on certain aspects and developments that are more interesting than the war itself

Like?

like the establishment of US industry to be more self sufficient due to British naval blockade, that the war led to a increasing in the conflict with the Seminoles that led to US annexation of Florida

and to you Brits, aint you allowed to smile on Pasport photoes anymore😂

heard rumors of new direction when it came to acceptance of photos for new applications of British passports

Yeah...why don't British people smile.....I've heard foreigners say the same thing...

Haven't you seen the Simpsons where they show you The Big Book of British Smiles?

Brits can't smile, as it's against the face of 'royalty'.

It's all that tea.....and they play with little chirping crickets....Really...I was told so.....I believe everything I'm told....😇

and their balls have been substituted with tea bags

😂 🤣 No wonder no one smiles...............

I wonder what they mean by tea bag lady then 😂

Trust you to come out with something so rude and ridiculous.

Perhaps.. unlike most foreigners, we smile less because we don't feel the need to make an exhibition of our emotions.
