Except that it was stated that he himself was conataining said blast. Which would mean no, he probably isn't being propelled. He's probly even going a little slower than he could... Cuz he's spending energy on containing a solar system sized explosion. This is also probably the best argument for him having psionic powers, btw.

true, and i might actually buy that. BUT, being modelled after someone/something does not necessarily equate to being EQUAL to that thing or someone.
people spout a LOT of crap because they've seen or read it on a forum somewhere. problem is most on the forums are kids who don't even know who and what pre-c supes WAS! i swear, i have seen SOOOO many fallacies spread around here. how are they spread? because one person reads the statement then deems it true and tells others or uses it as an example somewhere.
glads is NOT equal to pre-c supes. if you don't believe me, check out some of pre-c supes' feats. they really aren't heard to find. last i checked, i've never seen glads JUGGLE planets . . .
I wouldn't say Gladiator is as powerful as pre-crisis Superman. Pre-crisis Superman had the power of overly liberal writers who didn't give a rat's ass about consistency, or continuity. Using Pre-crisis Superman in an debate is pointless. There's no predicting what type of stunt he would perform, regardess of it's logical deficit.
So no. Gladiator is not a Pre-crisis Superman clone.
