Surfer fights at those speeds in just about cosmic fight he's had. He can actually manuever around huge fields asteroids while travel millions of times faster than light. His reflexes are god-like. I'm sorry, but there's no way Superman's going to speedblitz him.
By the way, Surfer doesn't fight like Superman does. In fact, I can't ever recall seeing Surfer throw a punch. Surfer fights by blasting his opponents with energy, and using his speed and reflexes to evade attacks. Surfer can process the same amount of information in a millisecond that a normal human would take milleniums to concieve.
Superman isn't going to catch Surfer off gaurd, nor will he be able to speedblitz him. Surfer can make Superman seem like he's standing still.

Superman is a campy novelty character...he just does anything within the imagination of the writer...the problem is the constant inconsistency and contradiction...lack of imagination...and over idealistic narrative...makes it uninteresting to me...same reason some people dont like Nip/Tuck...which im about to watch here in a minute.

JediMasterLuke, This forum's a place for mature people to debate about comic book,. It's no place for bias. I know you love Superman, and it's hard to admit that your favorite character can lose a fight, but there are people who can beat Superman.
Superman has been beaten by other superheroes in his own comics. I'm sure you've read at least one comic wherein Superman loses in a fight against another superhero. Clearly, he does not outclass every other hero.

I know, no offense intended. I picked you BECAUSE I pretty much consider you the antithesis to a fanboy... My own twisted version of irony, I guess. You obviously have some Superman bias, but you also have stuff to back up most of the things you say. It's really easy to be perfectly reasonable and logical when you realy don't care all that much about who wins. Good for you!

Gladiator is the untainted Verison of Superman cold evil if need be and has no emotional ties. If he decides to kill you he does not care of the ramifications of his actions plus he can fly in space he not fueled by yellow sun so Gladiator could grab him and toss him away from any yellow suns then Supes dies
