Er, might be hella-hard to kill, but he's not 'tougher' than Cage and he's a Spidey-villian. Just seems like a solid pick (or liquid pick in this case..harhar).

A nice find...all of Cap's powers and fighting skills, but 10 Ton strength instead of around 1.

Hydro-Man is practically invulnerable... i never picked him myself as i thought he was obviously over the durability level..... he CANNOT be physically harmed.... the only way to really stop him is to evaporate him.... he is waaaaayy tougher than Cage

EDIT: in fact he almost killed Thunderstrike... who isn't that far below Thor in terms of power

You can't hurt him or really even fight him.

Leto is pending (I'll either get a good explanation or he'll pick someone else), and only 2 others need to draft, so we're almost there.

Provided things go along smoothly, we're probably looking at the "Character Specs and Equipment" thread to go up Wednesday (it'll be named something else though), and with luck the first battles can start next Sunday *forboding music*. That'll be the goal, since I want to start/end fights on Sundays, and I don't want to wait another week to start.

I'm impressed with a few of you. Hydro-Man gets the Gold Star for round 3 (Grievous and Drizzt got the first two). And there's some really badass amalgams (with, I hope, all legal and not too powerful picks). It'll be fun making predictions even though I won't be able to share them until the end.

Hmm...problems with Hydro-Man?? I'll talk it over with the person who picked him.

seond though maybe not...yeah he'd be hard to beat for anyone with no energy attacks...kind of an unfair advantage for everyone else who were probably concerned with covering the grounds of melee combat for a street tourny...

He can reform.
He's one of those you have to take out all of him or he doesn't slow down, and none of us have enough fire/energy power to vaporize Hydro-Man.

At any rate, I used to think my amalgam was cool. Albeit a little redundant; apparently I underestimated limits of what was allowed in the street tourney.

I can't even think of a way my char could take out Hydroman. (Outside of using the surrounding environment.)

I wouldn't worry 8BitChris. Hydro and some others won't be in it, and you've got a solid amalgam. A few people probably bent the rules, but a bunch of people had stuff chopped off of them (like psionics, flight, etc.) so no one should be terribly overwhelming. I can't say much more without revealing your picks, but even though you'll face a tough match (like most everyone will) you have as much a chance as anyone.

You guys realise that whoever matches up against Venom would need fire or sonics to stand a chance, and I don't think the Human Torch is allowed. 😱

Juggernaut punched him a few dozen times with no effect.
