You may be onto something. A friend of mine (who successfully predicted Thordon's win) looked at the roster for this tourney and was like "Dr. Shocktopus is going to own these losers!"
Me: "Why?"
Him: "Because he's Dr. F-ing Shocktopus, that's why. Greatest name ever! That's on par with Flash Thordon."
So the name thing might actually help. But it doesn't explain why General Kinky (!) wrongfully lost to Mr. Blackstrom (yawn). No theory's perfect, but I actually think it helps.
So, was anyone around for this mythical Evangel tourney way back when (not the amalgam one)?? I'd be interested to know who won.

...not sure what order the matches will go in right now. I'm thinking we'll get all the way to the finals, then have the bonus round. Then the final week will be the winner of the bonus round vs. the losers from the semis (for spots 3-5) and have the finals the same week. Technically we could have the bonus round whenever, but I'd at least like to get through some more matches.
So LP/Dr. SH and Nataku/Khell will be up this Sunday.
And since zachrivard effectively quit the tourney, the bonus round will be a 7-person battle royale. I think that's the same number as the last tourney's bonus round, and it'll be plenty chaotic.
Hey Digi, where's Scoob? Is he having trouble accessing his account again? Usually I post something, and he counters within an hour or two. It's almost been two days, and he still hasn't written up any counters to the posts I made. I'm gonna hold off on posting in our match until he gets back or his account is fixed.
