SW Risk - Rule the Galaxy: Here we go!
The New Jawa Order proudly presents! KMC Star Wars Versus Risk! Oooteenie!
Welcome to the Star Wars Risk game thread. This is a game of debating skill and Star Wars lore. There are certain guidelines of course, but ultimately it is still a game of Risk, with planets substituted for territories and debating substituted for dice. It is in the mold of Decent Versus Thread (DVT), in that it is not always the winner who will claim the planet, but the individual that brings up the better case. Whoever the judges feel has made the better debate will be given the benefit of the doubt in the same way they would if they had the superior dice roll. All other calculations are left to the discretion of the judges.
As for the judges, they are: Illustrious (myself), Darth Janus, and Darth Faunus.
The rules for good debating are of course as follows:
--Any viable, factual evidence may contribute to good debating and are permitted.
--Countering and conceding arguments, while offering points that trump them will result in a good score.
--Attacking the individual for their views, or using fanboyism will result in a penalty.
There will be planets, and you’ll see staples like Coruscant, Tatooine, Dantooine, and the rest be used as viable territories. As with Risk, there will be a map, and it will likely help your argument if you only attack adjacent planets with the forces you have.
We will be using this particular map. For purposes of debating, it is probably advantageous to attack planets close to you.

If anyone wants to hop in, just take your 3 picks ASAP and you will be assigned a random planet.
Judges please post first and list off what army you feel each character should have. (e.g. 1> Yoda -- 3000 Wookies, 2> Marka Ragnos -- 100 Sith Assassins, etc.).
Any finalization will occur right now, and the game will be underway!
Any planet is free game. However, all planets that DO NOT have a player on it has a task force of 500 Clones. All you have to do is make a decent case as to why you should be able to take the planet, and the judges will determine your casualties.
Then the real fun starts. As with Risk, you get up to 1 card per turn if you conquer something. I'll have it the same here. At the beginning of the turn, you get 10% reinforcements of your army, and for each turn you conquer something, you get 1 card. You may relocate your general/armies as per usual risk.
Now, the tricky part starts, when a player amasses 4 Risk cards, they can trade them in for either a 20% boost in their armies OR another general (one that was not drafted). Generals can be killed if the judges feel their argument was not strong enough (just like you can if you are wiped out by another player in Risk). You CAN separate your general from your forces, but this could prove costly, as its harder to debate a no name army winning.
When a player completely destroys another player, they take all of their Risk cards.
Judges post, finalize the armies, and then let the games begin!
