True, although at times it seems that is who Bush thinks he is. Sure he couldn't stop the hurricanes, but it seems that him and many others could have acted a lot more competently and there were things that could have been done to minimise the damage.
After all, it seems the main loss of life and damage was not directly caused by the hurricane, but rather the levees giving way - they shouldn't have been allowed to get to that stage, and all the media has been going on here about how new levees had been planned and planned, then only for the Bush admin to cut there funding (some saying the money then went to the Iraqi war effort) - the rescue effort was initially slow, and poorly planned, which cost lives.
It seems to me those are two area's Bush should have been better able to deal with, especially with the worst case scenario's put forward by officials from that region years ago that predicted things like this could happen.
Not it was a cat 3..
No thats not the point. I think the hurricane response is not his fault. It was his "qualified" people. You can't really blame him on that. However its the Iraq war that has me pissed on him. That is what has made me from a sort of supporter to i hate his guts. However if another hurricane does not get handled properly i would blame him. I think however one day a hurricane will be so bad that i think no one will be able to respond to it properly.
I don't mind the Republicans but can it be someone who is a little intellectual or say something that is not scripted to be leader. I don't like that "action" president. Someone with a big mind would be better. I like some Republicans like John McCain but some of them are to much.

I can't understand some of those peoples mentality... they got told a hurricane was on its way, yet they stayed.. its there own dam faults... then they complain that they weren't saved quick enough when they realised the weatherman wasn't joking....

THAT:
1. Some people could not afford to get to the dorm
2. Some people were going to wait until it hit so they can Steal stuff
3. Older people may not know how to get there
And that is all i can think of right now
