Honestly I haven't seen anything from those scans that Gambit hasn't done before. He has hit objects very far away, hit Hawkeye's arrows out of the air and even used stuff like toothpicks and paper clips like he was Bullseye. Im not sayin He would win, or that he would lose but i think that he's better with projectiles than Batman
That's right, Batman also won't be expecting Gambit to be superhuman fast and agile. He'll pick up on it pretty quickly, but then again just realizing won't help him win.
Also how would Batman's ability to improvise help him here. He can't get too close cause Gambit will probably charge him up, but he won't be able to do much from afar since Gambit is deadily accurate with those cards

when bats fights, he doesnt fight like spider-man jumping and dodging any and all physical blows. he grabs wrists, blocks incoming attacks, etc. gambit would have PLENTY of opportunities to touch part of his costume, thus charging it and leaving a crispy critter formerly known as bats

You're totally right, Batman would get wasted by Gambit

He did in X-Men(1991 series)#1. He caught the bullet, charged it and threw it back. It was against one of the Acolytes.

That is innaccurate. Gambit has no sensitivity to light. He was blinded, yes, but that was due to a card going up in his face, and it was the explosion that blinded him. The reference you are thinking of came from the X-Men handbook which is full of errors like this. They also rated Gambit's fighting skills as 3 and his energy as 2, but they have always been rated 5 and 3 respectively every where else. Gambit has been shown to be skilled enough in fighting to stalemate Daredevil.
Now I'm a Gambit fan, and as logical as it seems that Gambit would win, I still have to go with Batman here. Why? Cuz he's Batman. If that fight ever were to happen, I just don't see Gambit pulling it off.
