how sure are you that he wasnt?
Because he wouldn't be wasting his time here. With the type of person he his (from what I have read), he would probably go show off his magic in a world wide magic show, earning millions of dollars a day!!!!!
But on a serious note, did you really mean to ask that question.

You know, that's just an assumption.
But why does that have to be just an assumption? Why is it that any time God performs a happy act its true and concrete, but if He does anything questionable, it's an assumption? It actually sounds perfectly feasible to me. God hates sin, He turns away from it. As such, when Jesus becomes the sin of the world, God turns away from him. Why else would he yell "My God, why have You forsaken me?" Unless he was really forsaken? (Forsook?) 🙂
Not trying to pick on you or anyone, just genuinely curious.
Just a few other views...that's all.
And about the ninth hour, Jesus cried out with a loud voice and said, Eli, Eli, lmana shabachthani! which means, My God, my God, for this I was kept!
Matthew 27:46, translated by George LamsaAnd about the ninth hour, Jesus cried with a loud voice and said, "God, God, why have you spared me?"
Matthew 27:46, translated by LWM
Some say that Jesus was quoting from Psalm 22, and in fact the Hebrew words in Psalm 22 are essentially the same as the Aramaic:
My God, My God, why hast thou let me to live?

None of these translations are in the Bible so thay do not mean much. We believe the Bible to be true.
