That story arch was also full of plotholes.
Jean, SURROUNDED by her tk field and her space suit find Logan and then is next to him while they are in space.
Same happens when Logan goes into the sun.
Logan's flesh possess human durability, he should have been dead far before they reach the sun.
And anyway, it was also showed that his ADAMANTIUM CLAWS were damaged from the contact with the sun, obviously with her matter manipulation Jean restored the adamantium or something and accelerated Logan's healing.

Precisely Cresh. Anyone who has read New Xmen will know that Jean started manifesting the phoenix again and she mentioned having to perform a disinfection in the future.
Jean went on to say to Logan that she must die to be reborn and that she doesnt know how long she will be allowed to stay.
Jeans physical body is later destroyed in the same issue by the doppelganger and a few panels later we see Jeans phoenix egg in the future.
Next issue she emerges from the egg and says she has been in the Crown and that she has to fix something here in the future.

As obviously stating that she needed to die to be reborn would be reffering to any time in the past that she has died, and anytime that she was reborn. 🙂

Yes she said it after taking a beating, she needed to die but not 150 years earlier to be an egg. It can just inhabit another body. The Jean Phoenix lost. Nice to see you've stopped the personal attacks though Cresh 🙂
