Julian McMahon has had to pass on playing 007 in the next James Bond movie due to his schedule on the popular TV series, says the Sunday Herald Sun.

(my idea: yeah right!)

The Daily Mail (UK) this week named Matthew Goode and Luke Mably as being in the running

"I think Pierce is just messing with me, causing me a lot of grief. Pierce Brosnan f**ked me on this.", Farrell told UPI in a phone interview Sunday.

"I was doing a job in London last week and I arrived on the set every day and everyone was humming the 007 theme song."

"As I’ve said already 15 times today, Pierce has f**ked me. He just shot that out. It’s great to think that he has that much faith in me but I have no idea. I haven’t heard a thing about it except for Pierce and I don't think they’re listening to him for casting."

So, would he consider playing the suave super spy if asked?

"I don't know", Farrell replied. "Nah. They would never offer it to me anyway, so I wouldn't even go there."
