Amen he is british and hopefully will stay it. I mean the americans wouldnt want someone british playing as one of thier heros like superman or spiderman so why should it be diffrent for one of the british hero that is Bond James bond. So it should really be a british actor not an aussie or Yank but a born and breed British.

Given that Ireland is the REPUBLIC of Ireland, then Pierce Brosnan is NOT British...which means that James Bond has twice been played by non-british actors...

yeah... one problem:
the first post is from somewhere in 2003, we are 2004 now. At that point, it was still a certainty that Pierce would return, now we know better.
and Ewan has turned out to be the topcontender to succeed him, but will probably have to let go due to 'too busy'

and with that british-comment I ment that Bond is indeed British and that an american would only butcher it, as much as berry butchered hers 😛
