LONDON: British actor Orlando Bloom actor has been signed by Miramax to play young James Bond in his new movie which is based on the college days of this widely popular secret agent.

There were rumours floating that Bloom is taking over the role of James Bond from Pierce Brosnan in the next film due out next November.

According to Ananova , Bond producers were looking for a new leading man and Bloom was the lucky guy who got the role.

Can someone tell me if this is true? 😑 I just got it off the net, dont know what to think..anywho I think colin farrell should be the next JB 😄 besides him I dont think eric bana would do bad either, hm 🙄

it's a very old rumor and it's very silly. The one that wrote it has no idea about Bond at all.

Miramax did had the idea to make a movie about Bond in his college-days starring Bloom, based on a series of books that will get written, but they forgot one little thing: they have absolutely NO rights off Bond.

Bond is EXCLUSIVELY Broccoli (the producers) property, they have a special lifelong contract on him, so they weren't consulted and rejected it.
and come on... Bloom as bond? not a single sane person wants that
