Wolverine vs. Shatterstar

shaunShatterstar cut Juggernaut's face up with his combo sword; and I don't mean anyother than the authentic Juggernaut.
As a matter of fact Shatterstar may have been the first person in marvel to ever harm Juggernaut in such a manner.
Both Wolverine and Shatterstar are surrenders of their own lives in battle.
Can Shatterstar's power turn the tide of this war?
And does anyone else think that seeing Wolverine's aging complex, despite the young marvelites that call him over the hill, that he's about to hit his stride or "come into his own."
I think Wolverine takes this.
He's the guy you call in to stop people like Hulk and Juggernaut for Christ's sake.
I still think he shouldn't have killed that kid in Ultimate who lost control of his toxins but hey, his call.
Now i see why he needs Cyke around though. A good leader is hard to find.

Although I believe Shatterstar should've fared much better than he did, he really should be able to hold his own vs Wolvie, and if he had adamantium swords I don't doubt he would.

Shatterstar and Wolverine teamed up in Wolverine #54 when Shatterstar went to investigate the killing of 4 unidentified mutants by the group known as the Vidkids. At the same time, Wolverine is also told by Rogue about the incident that involved the Vidkids, and he, too, goes hunting for the Vidkids. They come head on with one another in the streets, mistaking each other of being a Vidkid. Shatterstar, facing defeat, finally realizes this was the real Wolverine, and Wolverine, after checking out his scent, realizes that he was one of the X-Force members. Both team up and goes hunting for the Vidkids. They find them in the sewers, where they defeat the Vidkids and destroy their camera (which they use to film the torturing of mutants).

Arent ShatterStars swords mystical? Could be wrong. If so that explains it all.

He was also a master swordman.

wolverine has foughten shatter star three times and every time wolverine beats him in seconds. he cant hold his own vs wolverine at all. he good just not that good. also shatter star knows he cant beat wolverine he even says so the only reason he ever bothers fighting wolverine is in his world it better to die fighting then surrender.

NOTHING.
Wolverine has been able to show his own against Hulk cause:
1.Popularity, when thousand bunch of fanboys who touch themselves at night thinking about SNIKT! support Logan, and buy anything the merchandising offers about him, Marvel can even put him against Galactus.
2.Plot Devices.When he fought Hulk has Death Horsemen, Apocalypse enhanced Logan with superhuman strenght, speed, durability(he took a full power optic blast from Cyclops and a telekinetic AOE blast from Jean Grey), plus energy bolts from his sword and telepathic attacks.
3.Did I already say popularity?

This is really sad..... Wolverine's beaten the guy THREE TIMES and people are still going "well if you wrote Wolverine right...."

You mean wrote him as an incompetent moron inferior to everyone in Marvel? This is a COMIC BOOK VERSUS forum. We debate who would win in fights between comic characters. So use the friggin COMICS, not what "should have happened...."

Obviously there are some exceptions, like Spider-Man beating Firelord or Wolverine surviving a nuclear bomb, but christ people that doesn't mean you can just go ahead and ignore whatever you like....

true but wolverine surviving a nuke actualy is not that stupid because there has not been a limit since his healign has been up graded who knows what he can and cant survive. he been blown up many many times. plus wolverien can die he just does not stay dead. in new weapon x comic series he is nuthign but a skeleton and little bit a muscle yet he easly survives

Shatterstat is a good character, and of course he could never beat Wolverine because Wolverine has a larger fan base than any three X-men, period.

Reasonably, Wolverine couldn't hang with a great many Marvel superheros and villains, but his popularity makes him a demigod.

Night Thrasher (with escrima sticks) beat Shatterstar (with swords) in a fight. New Warriors Annual #2 I think. 🙂

If you're referring to the annuals with Piecemeal and bringing back Proteus, then I think you're right.

Odd that anyone could beat Shatterstar in a sword fight considering his natural talents...

not realy he not that good a sword fighter. he not even the best in amrvel i can name like 4 or 5 that can beat him

Shatterstar's abilities are outlined as being able to master any weapon within seconds of wielding it, and being able to learn languages, martial arts, and movements with minimal contact. Plus he has a healing factor.

How the hell he isn't one of the best swordsmen is beyond me.

he one of the ebst he still ahs 4 people above him. and his healing factor is crapp not even as good as angels or agent zeros
