Actually, some were "hentai" before they became more tolerable to younger crowds. Take Mezzo Forte for example, which originated before the Mezzo series I believe. Same cast in both, but less skin and "other" stuff in the latter.

The sex, i bet was there to draw you into the anime, and you were like
Hentai, naked,sex he he, then you watched it and said, hmm this story is actualy good.
So Hnetai brings you in, and the story keeps you in. How ever you guys get your kicks. Normal anime nudity I have, no problem with, but when they turn it into sex (using images of intercourse) and every 5 seconds, then NO.
the reaosn why Hentai exists is because porn is illegal in Japan.
Anyone who truly watches it is either Japanese or likes that kinda stuff. I personally dont like it. But if Hentai floats your boat so be it. It's really nothing to be ashamed of. Now loli (lolicon) is something that if you liked you should be ashamed of.

I believe someone said that in Japan, it's not considered porn if they don't show the pubic area. That's why there is mosaics.

I like the elaboration from a member in another forum, that in his native Germany, nudity is allowed and that he has no trouble with his children being around when such content is shown on television. But when he hears about the United States, he cannot understand of how stringent they are about the subject, but they allow violence.
