Those are the de-euphemised titles.

camp - An affectation or appreciation of manners and tastes commonly thought to be artificial, vulgar, or banal.

Can anyone explain to me why I never heard this used in this way before? Everyone here seems to understand it right away.

Then I am very CAMP but very straight so camp it would seem is a dated phrase

You likely refer to the use of the word in regards to hokie humor and silliness....like the Batman series from the '60s. In this sense, it's meaning has been corrupt. Much like gay, means happy...but now also means homosexual. But, it was apparent to me that, by the use of the term in teh original post...that it was being used in it's original meaning.
