I suggest you head over to the comic shop and pick up Wolverine 32 and read it over. In a concintration camp in WW2 Wolverine surrvived mulitple be headings, mulitple incinerations, several trips to the gas chamber, dozens of bullets to the brain and heart. Wolverine let them "kill" him every day for months just to drive the general crazy and he had done the same thing to the guy in charge before the new guy showed up and then to the guy who replaced... and all the damage was like nothing to him.

and if he got hit in the face by a grenade he would probably loose his eyes.. ears and nose...

Yeah it was a dick move on Wolverine for not slaughtering every soldier and freeing the captives but lets be honest he was hardly a good guy during WW2. Also He couldn't have been at the camp for to long before he decided to leave since there have been several accounts of Wolverine in battle during WW2, I know he took part in the Battle of Normandy in 44 for instance.
As for dodging taking less energy then healing, well it does. Bullets are nothing to Wolverine, it would be like swerving your car to avoid hitting flys and even so he has dodged bullets before.
Yes he heals... and yes bullets wont kill him unless 10 peeps with miniguns riddled him to kingdom come... but he does still feel pain... and healing does take energy out of him...
Its better to dodge then be hit...
And if hes hit by gambit.. at worst it a grenade sized blast... at best its alot bigger... he will be put down for a breif time... he doesn't walk though cards like he does bullets...
