They "killed" him, correct? He would just come back alive the next day or hours away or something like that. But in all essence, he was dead and/or incapacitated.
I could care less that he eventually heals from it. He was, in fact, killed for a time.
Gambit can do the same thing with enough explosions hitting Wolverine. So what if he heals eventually? A KO is a win. And Gambit has far better odds of defeating Wolverine is such a way then Wolverine killing Gambit.

Dude, it might be more effective for your argument if you tried to use periods and comas in your sentances...just saying.
As far as the fight I'd say wolverine could slice and dice the cajun up but gambit's powers are pretty versatile in that he can charge just about anything. He could use his environment more effectively than Wolverine and he has the potential to use Logans own weapons and body against him. Gambit is pretty darn agile too Gambit gets the majority but just barely. Gambit 6/10.
