Besides everybody has it to some degree...Intuition that is...It's just what people are born with.

You should see things as they are and not what your mind wants you to see. Look at what is and not what should be.

Everyone has intuition, so I'm not sure what you're getting at...

Well, the truth behind God, spirituality, religion, mysticism this kind of thing... theosophy can be understood as being the science of religion, it is finding out the truth behind the religions. We know that religion sometimes looks problematic since it is just about faith.... they have a douctrine, and you can choose believe it or not, but you can never be sure if what they say is really truth. Only through science we can believe in something, and understand why it is truth at the same time.
So I´m saying that through this intuition method we could understand the truths of religion, and mysticism that normally would be just a matter of faith since they are just doctrines. It is like if religion, and mysticism could be studied as sciences, and not be just about faith.

Hey Atlantis001, why do you perceive that there is a truth? What if there is none? Wouldn't that be a waste of time? And if you try to find truth, you can never find it.

Well, I need to perceive it by intuition, but there could be no truth in it I don´t know(but probably there is truth for what I think) . Anyway that is not different from anything else... any truth is perceived by intuition, not just religion, and mysticism... how do you know that you are alive ? Its a very strongh intuition that you have in the empiricism that allows you to tell that. Thats what I think. I can´t know if there is truth in it, but everything else works like it.

I am a Theosophist, but i wanted to know if there is a formal way to convert someone to this religion. My friend wants to convert. If you guys know anything about it please tell me. Thanks.

Yes true...does happen that way....kind of relaxing your mind, which allows new thoughts to come in....also known as lowering your vibrations.....or tuning in....and where might they come from????...well that is what science is trying to do research from....

And if you believe everything is connected, then.........only your guess. 😄

Well... I´m not a Theosophist, and I don´t know if there is a way to "convert" someone, but I think probably not. Theosophy is more like a research center about religions, and its not exactly a religion, right ? They claim to be the science behind the religions, and even the phrase in their seal says "There is no religion higher than the truth.", so I don´t consider then a religion. Anyway I do not consider myself a theosophist too, but maybe I could if theres no formal way to convert, and since I´ve read Secret Doctrine, and other works...

I should not say that it is a religion... debbiejo will think that I´m trying to convert her. 😄

well I understood Theosophy as the craving for a knowledge for a god and that there is a truth to all religions which form the basis of them.

Convert? well shouldnt be more than believing their way to be sufficient enough to be a follower
