Half the time Darkseid loses, it was all part of his plan.

I want ONE confromation of this from someone high up at DC, or a bio somewhere. The DS bio on Wiki makes some mentions of avatars here and there, but says nothing about this idea the true Darkseid has never been shown.
ummm dr light hurt antimonitor wow maybe it was cause he just got beaten up by spectre and then darkseid, did you fail to remeber when antimonitor whom you must think is weak stalemated spectre, and it was ina spectre comic and spectre did win but he was hurt by the OE and maybe he should have used those galaxy destroying powers on the Celestials and he wouldnt have gotten punked by them.

Idiot. I've been arguing for Odin this entire thread.
And Darkseid has been beaten. Most recently, iirc, in Legion. Before that, it was S/B.
Superman didn't go all the way to the source wall to retrieve an avatar.

2. Then AM continued his rampage. The heroes fought him and then his power was drained by one of then and Dr. Light absorbed a nearby star to put a hole into him; KOing him.
3. AM reabsorbed his anti-matter demons and ressurects himself
4. They fought him again and DS's tech destroyed his shell using Apokolips tech, knocking him into a sun
5. AM's conscious came after the Supermen, Kal-L turned back and finished the job.
What part of DS not doing it on his own is so hard to understand? Or that he was using techs?

so whats your point AM messed up the spectre, spectre losed cause of some drawback to killing the AM dont ask me why but he was later punished for not winning cause he could have, so your saying in your own words he ran off spectre, but got his shell destroyed by DS......wow you sure make a good point in making DS look like a nobody great job.

You may argue that. .. but why did Anti-Monitor live on, and Spectre was down?
And your answer is. . . .His body was found unconscious later in the series, but as Phantom Stranger and others tried to wake him with their magic, it was made clear that he was in that state by his own volition. "He's resisting us! His power is too great!" Spectre had fullfilled his purpose in that story at that point.
You also forgot to mention the part of Anti-Monitor absorbing the energies of his entire universe before Darkseid blasted him.

The very fact that they still kept writing him as 'severely weakened' after repowering himself with the energy of an entire universe, lends a lot of credibility to the character and those that defeated him, imo. A true multiversal conqueror, who's had more lasting effects on comics on any other major villain.
You also seem to be insinuating[just from the way I'm reading the particular post] that the tech that did it, but the tech was just a conduit for him to channel his Omega Beam through Alexander, and nothing more.

Here is DC's Odin admitting that Darkseid is too powerful for Asgard to reckon.
And before you claim how he's far weaker than Marvel's version because he has no showings....Here's DC Odin, he created a pocket universe and trapped Surter in it, who then fought off the entire JSA, up to and including the 5th Dimension Genie, Thunderbolt.[Giving the idea of great power to Surtur fighting the JSA, and in turn, Odin for being superior enough to banish him to a universe of his own creation]

I'm not saying that Darkseid is Odins *****.
But for people to try and make it seem like Darkseid is scoffing at Odin, tells me that people aren't aware of the Allfathers power.
Odin has feats too, but it always comes down to " Darkseid is beyond all skyfathers cuz thats how Kirby created him", when that has nothing to do with Odin's showings.
Or the fact that Marvel doesn't fall under DC's jurisdiction, in lipservice to their characters.
i dont even get what your saying ok he repowered himself and his shell was broken by darkseid........what part of your statemen makes it seem as though darkseid didnt have something to do with his downfall you say antimonitor was repowered isnt that make it even a bigger feat for darkseid since he was repowered the antimonitor i mean. i mean im slow yeah maybe to much medication PRESCRIBED OF COURSE.
This thread is silly. Darksied is waay more powerful than people want to give him credit for. DC"s Odin is on panel more powerful than Marvel's Odin. Dc's Odin created a universe and then banished surtur to it. THe Same surtur that was able to stalemate the Jla with all thier powers. THey have Fate, Alan Scott and Thunder bolt, (one of the mightiest imps from the 5th dimension). ONe imp from the 5th dimension will give Odin hell. ANd this surtur was able to fight all of them off. ANd DC's Odin beat Surtur by creating a UNIVERSE. And to top it off, Darksied put fear into Dc's odin. A being so mighty as to defeat the Mightier Surtur from DC. Darksied can beat DC's Odin who is stronger than Marvel's ODin. He certainly has no problem Beating Marvel's Odin.
