Magneto vs The Hulk

I'm going to quote a movie (GOD FORBID), but that question is answered in a reasonable way in X-2. Remember the word's of William Stryker, "The tricky thing about adamantium is, that if you ever manage to process its raw, liquid form, you got to keep it that way, keep it hot. Because once the metal cools, it's indestructible. But you already know that."
The metal is an alloy and only acquire the indestructible trait after cooling initially.

dudes whenever mags ever pulled the adamantium off wolvies bones, thats just what he did he just removed it, it was never destroyed.

however, since magneto controls and manipulates the entire EM spectrum, he could concievably return it back to its fundamental liquid state, by either A.) wrapping it in tight EM bubble and generate enuff microwave energy to rend its molecules asunder .thats basically how microwave ovens work, they dont heat the food objects themselves, but rather they vibrate the water molecules in them at super speeds and the resulting friction makes it hot. or B.) skip the bubble part and just rub two pices together at super speed and melt them, or C.) just vibrate them by themselves and see if it works.

agreed. But for the purpose of this argument, I'd say that changing it's form (shape) qualifies as destroying it. I only say this because changing it's form is as much destroying it as changing it's state (liquid/solid/gas/plasma). Since neithe of these are truly destroying it, and since no material (not just adamantium) can truly be "destroyed," for the purposes of the Hulk/Mags debate changing it's form/state should qualify as destroying since hulk wouldn't have to "destroy" the adamantium, only change it's shape to free himself from it.

The question is whether or not its shape could be altered, and I was trying to make the point that since it's "indestructible" (unable to have it's shape/state changed) that Mags could prob. accomplish this feat, and no one else (w/ a few notable exceptions: nate grey etc.) could.

well in that case yeah.. cuz when he pulled it out of wolvie it came thru his pores. so i guess you can call it a destruction of some sort

Element Lad.
While it impossible to destroy the energy that makes up everything, it's possible to 'push' it around. When you bump Neutrons [I think. Not exactly sure], you transmute elements. Essentially, you change one thing, into another.. That could be a form of 'destruction', as to us, it would be no longer in its original form.

well spoken to both manjaro and bstrdman.

my biggest thread ever

isn't it the biggest thread ever? lol

not even close.lol

The biggest I've seen are the ones with Spiderman, Wolverine or Batman fighting eachother.

go to the otf to see some biggens

Guys, the debate it over. It was solved. Magneto won. Read the other pages if you don't believe me, but none of you could possibly add anything new.

and the last reply goes to...Turboman

hulks if its savage or professor with alittle prep-time.

I cant believe this thing is still going.

It really isn't. People just post random comments here and there, usually because they haven't read the previous 65 pages (not that I'd expect them to....).

You obviously can't comprehend what I write. Magneto would not let Hulk use his strength He's not ****ing stupid. I KNOW Hulk will eventually break out of the stupid ****ing ball, it's not a contest of strength. Magneto just needs to hold him for a few seconds. THAT'S IT. Game Over. Magneto wins, Hulk losses. What don't you understand!? What is so complicated that your puny mind cannot fathom? I need to know this, it's bothering me.

Smash that shit with your totally inept logic!

Rack up another win for The Freak.

EDIT: You use that 150 billion ton thing as an argument for Hulk's strength.

Magneto has unleashed a GLOBAL electromagnetic pulse, short circuiting every electrical appliance on the planet.

He has built a space station by himself.

He has REVERESED the Earth's magnetic poles, thereby putting the planet's very existence in jeapordy.

Beat that shit. Hulk has done nothing close to that kind of power.

MArvel teamup guest starring SPiderman: Hulk overcomes the matter antimatter attraction between two bombs. BOth the creator of the bomb as well as bruce banner agree that overcoming the attraction should be scientifically impossible. As the attraction is a "force of nature".
Hulk not only seperates the 2 but goes further by knocking one of them millions of miles away into space.

IH: 242: Hulk is trying to Destroy a massive Deviant machine built to defeat the Celestials on thier next visit. Narration states:
"He just pulls all the more, straining with every iota of his strength to rip free this infernal object...becmoming madder and madder, his strength BUILDING with his anger, as he tugs against a device built to withstand the power of gods (celestials)! But this is the power of the Hulk! AND ULTIMATLEY, THERE IS NO FORCE STRONGER THAN THE HULK!

.....what are feats that were performed in the 60 sixties when all comix across the borad was crappy and cartoonish

1) Thought I'd throw in my 2 cents. A lot of people talk about Magneto having a lot of power, which I think is untrue. He more often than not, manipulates existing power. He doesn't generate it within himself which the Hulk does often (or draws from an extradimensional source directly into his own body, yadda yadda).
2) However, that being said, he can seemingly store vast amounts of power within his being and control it even in times of crisis. One example being when he killed Jean Grey in the climax to Grant Morrison's run. He had stored up such a magnitude of power he was able to transfer it to Jean Grey and cause something on the scale of a planetary heart attack. Apparently they've already retconned this and tried to explain away that it wasn't Magneto, but I don't think anybody doubts the 'real' Magneto could do this.
3) That being said, he manipulates power and mostly that power has to do with magnetic fields. Although he can probably affect and discern other spectrums of electromagnetism and powers like gamma radiation as some people vehemently argue (and I happen to believe), I don't think he can manipulate them on the degree he can with pure magnetism.
4) Hulk seems to be at a disadvantage because he's brute strength/power. But I doubt Magneto could destroy the Hulk unless he did something on a massively destructive level like the Magneto did in grant Morrison's run. And furthermore, Magneto does need to prepare/meditate/plan these unbelievable feats that many people throw out there like flipping axes and EMP's and whatnot. He can't do it on a whim. So if you got a Hulk rampaging you're way, who's power can be instantly multiplied just by getting angry I think Magneto would have a lot of trouble.
5) Recently, consider Hulk's house of M run. In it, he defeats Unus the Untouchable capable of creating an indestructible forcefield which he gets through by sheer sonic force with a thunderous handclap (although I'm pretty sure he could have strength wise) and rocks Exodus by sheer brute force. Exodus as we know had his heyday in Bloodties (an X-Men/Avengers crossover) where he creates a huge forcefield to crush the entire city of Genosha. Something comparable to Magneto's power.
