That Doom costume is unbelievable.

Yeah, it's crazy. I can't even imagine how to do some of those things, since they have to be custom made (like the Iron Man ones, for examples)
LEGO Marvel at the parade was pretty hilarious to me too. The MODOK was epic.

We don't have Halloween here really. I do have Pics of me as the Joker and the Doctor at costume parties though. Does that count?
Pics or it didn't happen.
😐
Also, which Doctor?
Two years ago -- and I'll likely do it again this year -- I went to work as Clark Kent (the main school I work in engages in the holiday spirit). This was basically a blue superman t-shirt (complete with S-shield) under a regular buttondown shirt opened enough to see the S-shield (plus I wear glasses).
Very easy "costume," obviously. But the best part was, whenever someone would invariably say to me, "Superman?" I got to say, "No. Clark Kent."
Yeah, that is such a badass Doom.
.....
I'm going as Maverick from Top Gun.
In 2012.
Yes, that's how far in advance I plan my costumes.

Dude, bowties are awesome.
You're also like 1/4 of the way to beating me in the Halloween vs. thread. I have a 10th Doctor costume in that lot, so you have the slight edge on at least one of my characters.

Huh. Totes making my B'day party a costume one this year.
No ****ing clue what to go as though.
Gonna be darth maul this year n I've got everything but the horns. I figured it'd be easy to find either a specific darth maul horn set or atleast a close knock off set of 10 to match them but I've tried all the local stores n Halloween places that pop up this time of year n the best I've found so far is if I get very different looking ones only in sets of 2 each for like $8 apiece. Check online thinkin it'd be easy to find id just have to pay shipping but still not much luck. Any ideas on where I could find some cheap decent match for them?
Not bad. If it works, go for it.
I really don't have any ideas this year. I'm slowing down on wanting to be a new comic badass every year, though I'll likely dress as something.
I've wanted to go as Kingpin several times, but it would require me buying a gigantic white suit...so it's a bit cost prohibitive. Also, I'd probably have to shave my head.

Making the shield will be difficult.
Not making in this case, buying. I don't have the resources to make one, unfortunately. Might have back in my parents home when I was a bit younger (my dad is something of a handyman, made some great costumes for us back in the day), but certainly not anymore. Usually when I say "build" costumes, I'm referring to just piecing it together from various places, since very few costumes (even the expensive cosplay/authentic ones) are all-inclusive.
There's some great shields though. As in, hand crafted, hand painted, works of awesomeness. And actual steel Master Swords. Just, ya know, they don't come cheap.
I have a date tonight. We're not "dating" per se but there's potential. If I can talk her into being Zelda, there's no way I can back out. At that point I'll just drop a good $170 or so and build a proper kickass Link.

Cool.
I'm lazy. I'll just shave my beard, put on a smaller belt buckle and a gun holster and go as Nathan Drake. I already have the same hair cut and fashion sense, so I don't really need to do anything lol
