Comic Book Halloween

Started by Digi17 pages

I have forsaken Link, until a time when I can convince a lady friend to go as Zelda.

Instead, I'm donning some classic steampunk apparel and going as Archibald Manchester III, Professional Fancy Man!

I ran out of comic book costumes I really want to be, so this is at least the 2nd year in a row, maybe 3rd, where I'm not a comic character. I'd be Batman and Spider-Man, they're just too easy, obvious, and overdone. Anyone else is either too much work or too expensive, like Adam Warlock or Kingpin.

How about going as Tony Stark ? 😛

I was thinking of creating some big W in red and sew it on a nice tight black shirt. Wear some nice black pants and ( here is where it gets expensive) buy some Oakley Juliet sunglasses in red , and go as Wonder Man. Been on ebay looking for a pair, and the cheapest one's I've found are about 400 bucks. 😬

Nice. Do it. Except for the expensive glasses, just fake it. Post pics.

And **** Tony Stark. Never once felt like going as him. Professional Fancy Man >>>>>>>>>>>>> Tony.

Just saying Tony would be easy.

1. Buisness suit .

2. A small glass on your hands with some apple juice.

3. Act like an a hole.

I really want to get the glasses because the suit is homemade. So I really need something to stand out to make it look realistic. I dont think I prepped for this Halloween . If I cant get the glasses I'll just stay home and give out candy to kids. I will however prepare for this Wonder Man look and make it happen for next Halloween.

Agreed, but I generally don't do easy. It's usually just disguised laziness, and it's not like that Tony costume wouldn't just look like a dude in a suit.

I hope WM happens.

Alright, so I've organised a costume party. Now I just need an original, fun character to dress as who can still kick the shit out of Digi.

My Darth Maul from the party jus a few hours ago!

lol

Impressive costume. Nice attention to detail on the facial markings. How long did it take?

So, I decided to be somewhat lazy and cheap and try to pull off "Action Comics" Superman as a costume.

Pics or it didn't happen. Well, future tense.

Really, all I need to purchase is a good cloth material for a short cape and a pair of brown work boots.

You already have a superman shirt?

Yep, though I should get a smaller one because the one I have is a bit baggy.

yeah, probably a good idea. i doubt it'll be hard finding a cape though...

True, I just need to find a shorter one that's of good quality. The key is to look cheap without looking...well, cheap, lol.

My girlfriend pretty much did all the work. It took about 4 hours but that's working on both of us back n forth n stopping to eat halfway. I made the horns about a week ago out of cheap crayola clay.

Nice. Well done to both of you.

Is your girlfriend the undead-yet-somewhat-attractive zombie in the pics? She did a nice job on your face.

...and she did well with the makeup!
