Can the Silver Surfer beat Superman?

I can't seem to find any, so that leaves three options:
1. SS can't fight at lightspeet
2. He can, but nobody can find a scan of it
3. The writers have never thought to have him use that power as he as so many to choose from

Given his power set he should be able to given the level of character he is and the level of opponents he faces, but thats just my opinion.

Thats what im talking about demi. Actually fighting speed. Surfer seems to display none.

lest clear this up Superman uses speed feats because that is what he is really speed and strength, that is why Silver surfer mostly has showings of the power cosmic becasue thats his main source/showing of power which really can do anything.

The first scan wasn't working.

The second scan...I'd definitely say a forcefield is a good strategy for Surfer to use. To be honest, I DO think Surfer can beat Superman fairly easily. I'm taking issue with people who say he does it becuase he's faster and more durable...the feats aren't in his favor.

The third scan...you can extrapolate it, but it's (once again) dubious at best.

Now we're talkin! I didn't have issue with the idea that Surfer can beat Superman....just that he could outslug him, outspeed him and outlast him.

But any of those techniques would work just fine!
