The answer is simple -

Join him.

No, I hate censorship, if you don't want to see/hear something, then don't watch/listen to it.

Don't ruin it for others with censorship.

I definitely don't believe in censoring stuff like flag burning, or hate speech, or profanity. But when it comes to porn, I don't think children should watch it until they're mature enough to handle it. I know that my little brothers aren't mature enough, so no, I don't want them watching it.

I believe in censorship. . .when it's necessary, like children watching porn, gore, or things that lead to hatred of living creatures.

There are just some things some people just don't need to see, at what ever point they're at in life, this doesn't necessarily apply to just children either.

I think that they indeed should be uncesored.

And if I found my son watching porn (assuming they are 10 or younger) I would probably think "Man, I am quite a bad parent, letting my son watch pornography all unattended...maybe I should rethinkg my raising methods....or nah, I will instead blame the TV Station who shouldn't have broadcasted pornography even a lot of good paying costumers are in demand of it....cause afterall my kid (and the illusion that I am a good parent) >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Freedom for all others"

Maybe some sort of code for daytime adult programmes, as they have here.

That you want to prevent children from seeing certain things I can understand. Although I would blame the parents before anybody else really... Still there is no need for public TV to air porn during the day, even if they did however it would not be the responsibility of the TV station to prevent children from watching it, it would be the parents their job.

Censoring anything from adults however I can not understand, why would you do that? They are adults they should be able to choose what they want or what they do not want to see at any moment in time.

I agree with this, but sooner or later a parent is going to have to watch the DIY network just to watch a program with their kids. There's only so much Nickelodeon one can take.

sure, censorship is a good idea, if the content of a piece viewed by the public is considered as obscene then yes it should be sencored. but then who and on what bases decides, what is obscene??? the naked human boby could be obscene to some but beautiful and glorious to others. WWF is a vicous display of violence to some and entertainment to others. i guess thats why the remote was invented.

I totally agree. Parents need to do their job and monitor their childs tv viewing.

I'm massively against censorship. Either every thing's OK, or nothing is, as far as I'm concerned.

Maybe parents should stop their kids watching TV...do they need it?

Correct. It is not just TV, it is the computer. This is one reason I hate MMORPGs. It promotes obesity and other health problems.
