Evidently, only two choices will be left, leave the power up to the coporate elite. Which would really be pretty self-defeating, as with so many poor people who have no means to pay for anything, how long will THAT last? Evidently they'd have to move thier coporate asses somewhere else to get any sortof perk out of it..

So that leaves the only viable choice of a socialism. Now, SpellJammer knows you liberals are like "it's about damn time!" but no. SpellJammer ran a country online and KNOWS how socialism works. His people were poor as hell, the only reason we weren't starving was cause SpellJammer's country did alot of illegal, and hanus things to obtain money. We were more like an underground mafia syndicate then a goverment. And yet we STILL struggled to have enough for medicare, social security, and other things the left seems to think will come with ultimate equality.So much so practicaly no money was going into weapons development. Ofcourse that's not a good thing to be planning the demise of other countries, but screw you. SpellJammer worked damn hard and did everything he could to keep your asses from starving to death, we're going to build weapons to get back at those who pushed us around before.. So now SpellJammer is slowly implementing a libertarian movement. This will raise the economy, let everyone live well (if they aren't stupid..), and allow mwah to develop WMDs! Everybody wins! 😄 (Sept for SpellJammer's enememies ofocurse. Heheheheheheh..)

ANYWAY, the point is with the way things are developing, we most likely WILL become a socialism. And it won't be "to each according to thier ability, to each according to thier need", no sucker, it's going to be "we're all dirt poor, and life sucks more then usual"..

1. The oil companies function as an oligopoly that fixes prices and then gouges it's consumers. Oligopolies and cartels are illegal inthe united states but the oil lobby is so powerful, no one touches them.
2. Credit card companies are allowed to write legislation themselves which is then introduced to congress by Bush and results "bankruptcey reform" for individuals and doesn't allow for exceptions for things like medical emergencies, natural disasters, and deaths (75% of all individual bankruptcy filings)
3. Dick "The Dick" Cheney allows a meeting of energy executive to write energy policey with no emphasis on alternate fuel sources or conservation which is then passed by congress.
4.Bush oks subsidies for energy companies after Katrina despite record profits.
5. Enron, Pacific Gas and Electric, Edison Electric, and Ross Perot concoct a scheme to create an energy crisis to drain california's coffers while selling California's fuel to China and lobbying to open up drilling for oil in Alaska (also earmarked for China). Schwarzenegger settles out of court after being convinced to run for office in a meeting with Kenneth Lay.
6. Congress passes a medicare reform law written by pharmeceutical companies which stops the government from haggling for drugs prices (like the insurance companies can) and allows some drug discounts with a discount card sold for $30.
7. Congress passes a huge tax cut which Bush wants to make permanent, therefore creating a social security shortage, which Bush wants to use to create a private investment accounts allowing businesses more access to public coffers (savings and loan scams anwyone?)
8. Bush gets congress to repeal the estate tax on a platform of increasing lowering taxes for all americans, a death tax that only people with a net worth of 5 million dollars or greater have to pay.
9. Bush refuses to declare any contracters as "wartime contractors" thus making profiteering illegal despite Haliburton's mismanagement and embesellment of billions, not to mention feeding troops year old food.
10. In order to rebuild New Orleans, Bush suspends all worker protections for contractors in the city, including equal opportunity and minimum wage laws.
11. Despite several cities successfully using biofuel as a low price alternative to gas (and the internal combustion engine being originally designed to run off ethinol), congress refuses to pass laws legalizing the use of hemp in industrial manufacturing, hemp being the most efficient source for biofuel known to man.
12. By creating tax incentives for outsourcing and opening new trade agreements, Bush is increasing our unemployment rate (not to mention making our food inspection laws weaker and weaker).
So, what's this about fat cats being so innocent spelljammer?
If anything, America is becoming like Europe-not the semi-socialist Europe of today but the same shitty Europe that America derided so much when the country was founded.
