Neji gave more of an angry gaze as the attacking shinobi unleashed three aquatic sharks to shoot at the genin. Neji saw the sharks shoot some sort of substance, but using the byakugan, he was able to see all points of attack. Then he began to turn. In a fast whirling rotation, blue chakra illuminated the genin and the shots from the sharks bounced off the spinning top of shinobi. Neji slowed down as the sharks evaporated on command, and saw the enemy jump straight down at him, in an attempt to cleave him in half. Had it not been for the byakugan, the attack would have been fatal. But Neji lifted his kunai, while grabbing another, and stopped the blade with two hands. But he was not unscathed. The Souunga had pierced the skin on top of Neji's left shoulder. It stayed there, wedged in. Neji gave a cough of exasperation as the gash dribbled blood. Then he came to and forced the enemy ninja's sword off. The kunais still held in his hand, sweat glistening down the genin's forehead, he sidestepped and leaned up against a tree. He looked at his wound and saw that it was worse than he thought. The opponent was much stronger than Neji was. He threw the two kunai at the enemy and jumped into a tree. Then he jumped into another and another. He'd have to hide somewhere. He hid into a far tree, and lay on a giant branch. He pulled the konoha biotic out of his back pouch, and rubbed it into his gash. He looked around, how long could he hide?
