Carefully opening the door to her family’s flower shop, Ino balanced the glass vase of roses with one hand. It had taken her hours to finish all of the red, white, and green bouquets of roses and ferns for the Hyuuga party. “Ahh!” shocked by the sudden reappearance of Naruto right in front of her, Ino dropped the vase of flowers. As the cold glass left her hands, Ino’s eyes snapped shut. She didn’t want to see her work gone to waste, she didn’t want to see the red petals sturn across the ground. But the sound of shattering glass never reached her ears.

“Ino?”

“What do you want, baka? I don’t have a lot of time now that you ruined those flowers.

“Er…Ino. Open your eyes.”

Cautiously opening them, she saw the vase of roses, not a flower out of place being held by Naruto. 'Dead-last caught them? He’s such a klutz…How did he….'

“Ino, have you seen Sakura-chan? I need to ask her what she wants for Christmas?”

Her amazement completely dissipated with that question. “Baka!!!! You don’t ask a girl what she wants as a present. How stupid are you?!?!?”

And kakashi is elsewhere. No one is RPing him.)

Alright I'm back. Let's see, so are we posting who we are? Then here goes : Neji (main character) Gaara (Secondary Main) and Shikamaru (extra.) I also post as Chouji occasionally (but just for plot reasons) and Naruto when Rikari can't handle it.

As for the discussion over Sasuke - I never really liked him. I felt he got all the attention, and was too popular. I also hated his final decision regarding Itachi and Konoha (spoiler-free) and the fact that he..well you know. However - He's starting to become a better character in my mind. I rewatched the episodes with Itachi's return to Konoha, and when Jiraiya, Naruto and Sasuke stand up to Kisame and the elder Uchiha. I really understood where Sasuke was coming from. But he turned on the Shika-5! What a bastard!

I plan on dropping Chouji, and subsequently afterward Shikamaru, for I feel i have neglected them too much. As for the "where does this take place? I say sometime before the timejump, after sasuke retrieval. So basically during all of the filler.

I suppose if Sasuke and Orochimaru's gang were to come into this roleplay, I MIGHT be able to roleplay Sasuke in the event of his arrival. (However I will use him rarely, due to plot development.)

I can however, play a good Orochimaru.

But I will give a hint and say that both characters are not needed, for the attacking shinobi are not from the sound. Nor are they attempting to seige Konohagakure.

I'd have to agree with you on the Sasuke thing. Difference is, I started off liking him, but soon began to pity him, and eventually started disliking him. After the Sasuke retrieval arc I really started to despise him. The character still interests me, but but ever since leaving Konohagakure I haven't much sympathy for him.

Thinking about that... I don't really have a good reason to play Sasuke. Thus, I'm dropping out of the running. 😛 Besides, I like Naruto so much more.

Okay, thanks for pointing out where we are on the timeline, Quincy.)

(You know....I really started to dislike him after he left Konoha. hrm.......and I'm not really that good at roleplaying......so I'll drop out of the Sasuke thingie majiger 😊 )

ryu heard a wiz in the air and move to one side of hinata getting hit by a poisonus dart by his shoulder "he'll pay for shooting that" ryu said jumping into the forest turning into ice silently on his way there and looked for the guy, but dropped to the ground returning to normal. the snow touching ryu's hand turned to ice and trailed to hinata and formed the word "help"

(I am not letting this thread pass out of people's memories. I'm bumping this thing back up. 😐)

Hinata let out a small cry as she dodged a needle. She looked down at Ryu, her eyes widened with genuine conern.

" Ryu! "

she called. She needed to heal him, but she had to hold off these men as well. Her mind was twisted, how would she pull this off?!

Closing her eyes tightly she bounded forward, shooting blinding streams of light once more with her Shugo Hakke Rokujuyon Sho justsu. As soon as the man fell from his hiding place she used her 8 point justsu, eyes narrowed feircly. She fell to the ground suddenly as the other ninja pierced into her abdomen, slashing through her sweater and skin. Her eyes widened as the man suddenly stopped before administering a fatal blow. His mouth cracked open, and blood dripped from it and ran down his quivering chin before plummeting itself to the ground. Behind him stood a trembling Hanabi, one arm extended, holding the small embossed daggar Hinata had planned to give her for christmas.

Hanabi said, resisting the urge to vomit. She wondered if she had killed him? Was that illegal? Would she be in trouble? What was to become of this?
No.
She closed her eyes. Her sister was in trouble, she couldn of just let him hurt her. She could never do that.

She nodded ressuring and walked over to Hinata, who kneeled, clutching her stomach, beside Ryu.

" Oh no "

Hanabi scoured her mind, and finally configured what she would need to do. Her father, long ago , had taught her alot of first aid tactics. With a soft grunt, Hanabi slid her shirt off from under her jacket and tied it around Hinata's wound, and then leaned over to Ryu. She closed her eyes.

Please let this work

She slid the needle out, an dplaced her mouth over the wound, sucking out it's toxic poisons, so she hoped. After this she placed a hand on hinata's stomach. It glowed as she lent some of her chakra to her older sister.

Ryu's eyes jolted open then as fast as his eyes had openned he sat up breathing heavily and felt like puking "thankyou, Hinata and... wait i don't think we've met, you look alot like Hinata, another cousin, or a sister maybe?" Ryu said as if he was totally okay, but he wasn't the poison wasn't completely gone, but it was mostly gone, he was sweating all over especially on his forehead, his arm a little in pain, but not so much, mainly just from the dart itself from when it piece his flesh, but even that felt like a pinch. "i think we should get going back to the house, that wound looks bad,and here take this put it on, i do not need it at all" ryu said taking off his T-shirt and handed it to Hinabi as he stood up

Neji awoke with a start. Despite the fact that he was just involved in a fight, he wasn't in any pain. His eyes were clouded and watery, so it took him a few seconds for his surroundings to register. He tried to move, but his arms were held. He looked down and saw that he was wearing a strange straight-jacket type of suit, preventing his arms from moving. "What the?" He wondered, still trying to figure out where he was.

He was in a musty room. Dark cement walls surrounded him, with no windows or light of any kind, save for that coming from the hallway. It was some kind of cell! He was now a captive of a strange genjutsu ninja clan. Normally he would simply use his Jyuuken and his precise use of chakra pores all over his body to simply cut through his shackles, but for some reason, his chakra was unreachable.

His plan-b was his Kekkei Genkai. The byakugan turned on only breifly before it was cut short. It must have been the same thing that stopped him from using his genjutsu. Something nearby was eatting at his chakra, or keeping it closed like a lid on a steaming pot. And so he sat on the cold hard floor...in complete silence.

Waiting.

She fell forward moments after saying this. Her body lurched, it seemed, in slow motion, untill she slammed into the ground, her body limply hitting it.
Whoever those ninjas were, they were strong. strong...He was...Neji!!!
She forced her eyes open, managing to stand.She clapped her hands together weakly.
" By...Bya..."
Useless.

Once more, Hanabi Hyuga let her young body fall to the ground. She needed a moment, just a moment, to gather her chakra. She realised then what fear really was. Not fear for herself, but her sister, and her cousin. And even this kind stranger before her. Maybe this was the meaning of life. This was protecting those she loved, and these were the consequences. Even now, despite the pain, nothing hurt more then the horrible questions in her mind as to wether he would be alright. She knew Hinata would. In the corner of her eye she noted her body shifting. The bleeding had stopped. She sighed thankfully as she lay on the hard ground.

Hinata clenched her teeth, an d placed a hand on her stomach. Her eyes widened suddenly, a new adrenaline filling her. She bolted to her sister's side. She ook her hand, embracing her.

" Hanabi, you'll be alright. I promise. "

Tears stung her eyes. She had saved her, Hanabi had acted on what? Not training, simply an instinct? And she had saved her. And Ryu. A soft smile crossed her face. She was so young, yet so strong. A sudden blush crossed her face as she remembered the times her father had spoken of how Hanabi was, and always would be, stronger than she. Before he ahd given her up...
She shook her head and the ideas. Now was most certainly not the time. Little did she notice the tears which shimmered on her pale cheeks. She closed her eyes, then opened and raised them. She slid her tongue over her dry lips and opened them slightly as she turned to Ryu. Her eyes widened with conern.

" Are you alright?! "

She asked, setting Hanabi down gently. She flinched, then, grasping her stomach. A small drop of blood slid from her gaping mouth, and she wiped it away quickly. She made her way over to Ryu.

(Someone volunteered to be Ino and Kakashi..... I can't remember who.)

Kankuro awoke without much of a start, he lifted his eyelids slowly and felt a cool stream of saliva running down the side of his mouth. He wiped it away as he sat up. He massaged his temples before taking in his surroundings. He seemed to be laying in a room with wood... a large wagon perhaps? A giant sheet covered the tops and sides of the wagon. He caustiously moved to the end of the wagon, and pushed the sheet away slowly. As he looked around, there seemed to be a camp with a small fire glowing, and two ninja lay asleep. He chuckled quietly, Fools, leaving their guard open. As he was about to step out onto the grass, a hand shot out in front of him. He froze in his tracks at the sound of this icy voice, "And where are you headed?" Kankuro turned his head and stared a ninja, there was an air about him that he didn't like. "I was just checking outside... I-" Kankuro started but was rudely interrupted by the ninja, "Shut up, I don't care." The ninja laughed at Kankuro's startled expression.

Kankuro stood in the same frozen position for some time. The other ninja continued taunting him. Kankuro then tried to crawl back into the wagon, but soon realized he couldn't. "What the...!?!" He said under his breath. The other ninja laughed again, "I have the ability to freeze people in their tracks. That is how I fight." Coward... Before Kankuro could react, he fell from the wagon. "Now get back in there, and stay quiet..." The other ninja said, kicking him as Kankuro got up. The sand nin merely walked into the wagon without a word, Where am I? More importantly, who are these guys and where are we headed? The wagon started moving, I suppose I'll find out soon enough.

Hanabi felt her body rise, and withdrew a deep breath. Struggling slightly she held tight to Ryu's chest. She opened her eyes and her lips parted slightly.

" No...We have to get Neji. "

She looked at his arm, her eyes widened with honest concern. Lifting her handshe gently ran it over the injury, which seemed to be getting worse. She managed to pry herself out of his grasp, and took his hands in her own. She nipped at her bottom lip, an aggrivated confussion pressed upon her mind. He needed medical care.

Shifting her eyes over to Hinata, Hanabi let his hands fall. She watched as she stood and rushed over. A shaky breath slid from her mouth as she opened it. As she pressed her face into her sisters shoulder the words poured out in a quick rush.

" Oneesan!! "

She cried.

" You agree with me, right?! We can't just leave our cousin to die! He would never to that to us! Don't you remember when we were younger? He would stand up for us, and help us! Now we have to do the same for him! We owe it to him, and even if we didn't...He...he's our cousin. We have to go. "

She finished with a slightly sobbing note.

Hinata placed her arm kindly around her younger sister's shoulder. She gently rubbed her back as she did so. Her face looked contorted with a strange sadness, mixed with a fear for Neji's life. She just wished she could be there for them both. She knew Hanabi looked up to her, but she would soon surpass her, if she had not already. And Neji. She cared about him so much, but how ould she defend him if she couldn't even defend herself? The she remembered the Genin exams.
I got back up...just like he told me to.
She blushed, and then clenched her pale fists.
Ill do it again. Ill stand up again, and again, and again. I won't leave you, Neji!

Hinata turned to the two standing before her. Her sister, with wide and expectant eyes. Fear turned her white pupils into miniscule seeds of uncertainty. And Ryu...His arm was getting worse by the second, it seemed. She took in a deep breath.

" R..Ryu, do you think you could make it back alone? "

She looked at the ground, and then back up to the two before her.

" I have to find him. "

As the wagon finally came to halt, Kankuro had been laying on the hard surface of the wooden wagon. He didn't even budge when the strange ninja walked inside, "Get up, and follow me." Kankuro looked over at him, and knew better than to disobey, he walked outside and took in a deep breath of the air. It tasted bitter. He was shoved inside a concrete fortress, the walls, ceiling, and floor were all painted the same color. Kankuro was shoved hard into a cell, and he fell over. "Stay in here until I tell you." The ninja said, letting a malicious grin escape onto his covered face. Kankuro looked around, there wasn't much here, save for an uncomfortable looking bed and an old wooden bookcase with nothing in it except a ruined cobweb. He coughed, the air was a little musty. What is this place? He looked through his cell bars and noticed a whole prison complex of some sort. Perhaps there are others here? Kankuro half-shouted, half-whispered, (if that is even possible), "Hello?"
